Italian DJ and producer duo Checco Esse and Adriano Dodici are back at Progrez with the superb two track Motion EP. The guys’ last outing here was back in August 2016 with the Quick EP which gained great support from many. Checco and Adriano are considered with very high regard among their peers and are known for the outstanding quality in their work. Since the early nineties they’ve been delivering the goods and we certainly hope they’ll be delivering many more goodies in the future.

If you’re looking for some deep hypnotic progressive grooves for that moment in your set when you want take things to the next level, then you’ve come to the right place. High Motion does exactly that with its sublime mesmeric groove, steeped in wonderful lush basses and ethereal atmospheres. Yes, this is progressive house at its rawest, and it will not disappoint. Tight beats and shuffling percussions keep the rhythm pumping while a beautifully crafted bassline gets the hips swaying. A cacophony of melodic synths and FX blend effortlessly to give that trippy vibe which is accompanied by a fantastic spoken vocal that draws you in with an intriguing narrative. On the break a melodious piano opens the enlightenment flood gates before the solid beats return for the duration. An absolute stomping track that is not to be missed.

Up next we have Slow Motion which certainly lives up to its title as the beats are slowed to a laidback tempo that carries an infectious groove that will hook you in. A tight arrangement made up of chunky kicks and bright crispy hats sets the pace as a chugging bassline brings the low end to the fore. Superb melodic pianos litter the sound alongside various stabbing synths and cascading arps making this the perfect fodder for the wind down after a solid night of partying.
