ALEX NEMEC & FORNIVA – ASTRID FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Alex Nemec & Forniva debut on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Astrid which comes backed up with two top notch remixes from Manu Riga and formidable duo Paul Angelo & Don Argento. Slovenian artist Alex Nemec started to play out in clubs around 1998 and is better known as one half of Alex and Filip and together they have scored several top tracks since 2005. In recent years Alex has performed in all the major clubs across Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Bulgaria and shared the decks with some of the world’s finest spinners such as Umek, Johannes Heil, Gabriel D’Or & Bordoy, Petar Dundov, Satoshi Tomiie, Desyn Masiello,Valentino Kanzyani, Adam Beyer and Scarlett Etienne among others. He runs Mirabilis Records and support within the industry has been well received from artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha and many more. Moke Okeric aka Forniva is a music producer and DJ from Sarajevo ,Bosnia & Herzegovina. He is known for his signature sound which is a mixture of deep, tech and progressive elements with an atmosphere hugely influenced by the 80’s music period. He is also A&R of Mirabilis Records from Slovenia, and resident and event planning manager of SIlver & Smoke Club in Sarajevo. During his career he played together with Solomun, Quivver, Javier Portilla and many more. A hugely talented pairing we are delighted to have on board.

DELPHIE – RE-RE-LEASE FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Santiago De Chile based DJ and producer Delfina Franco aka Delphie debuts on Piston Recordings with the fantastic Re-Re-Lease which also features a solid remix from compatriot Pablo Cornejo. For the last number of years Delphie has been churning out top quality grooves on various labels with great support coming from all quarters. She plays at top clubs all over Argentina and beyond where she dishes out her brand of all things tech and deep house and she also runs Welcome Records as label manager. Great to have her on board at Piston and we hope to be hearing more from her soon.

Dutch DJ and producer V.I.O debuts on Piston Recordings with the superb two tracker entitled No More EP. With a penchant for tech house and deep house, this guy has been churning out quality cuts on various labels for the last number of years. His tracks have a unique style and sound and we’re delighted to have him on board.

YURIY FROM RUSSIA & ANGE – UNDER THE SKY FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Yuriy From Russia aka Yuriy Kolomiytsev got back in the studio with prolific vocalist Ange to deliver the superb Under The Sky which comes in various styles with remixes from the mighty Airwave and the on fire Narel. Over the last few years Yuriy has never failed to deliver the goods with his own material or on remix duties. A solid artist with a dynamic style that captivates the listener. Ange is a popular DJ, producer and vocalist from Russia, she has worked with a whole host of top class artists with her distinct vocal style and her talents have been showcased on many labels worldwide. This one follows the pair’s 2013 stunner Do You Feel, now the wait is finally over this one is not to be missed.

JOYFULL FAMILY – LOST PLEASURES EP FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Italian DJ’s and producers, Cristian Carpentieri, Guido Nemola and Chico Perulli aka Joyfull Family return to Piston with the excellent Lost Pleasures EP. This one follows their 2015 debut – Wish EP – which gained great support across the board. Ten years ago these guys got together to create underground tracks and house remixes. Their 2005 hit Da Breaker got plenty of airtime, notably through gaining top spot on various European charts including Pete Tong’s Essential Selection. They went on to remix for international stars like Corrina Joseph and Shawn Christopher as well as a remix for Cajmere and Dajae’s Brighter Days. In the last couple of years they’ve racked up a very impressive release count on several labels with their brand of deep and tech house hitting the spot for many jocks and clubbers alike. Nice to see them back for more at Piston.

EAT DUST – ANOMALIA EP FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Eat Dust aka Portuguese DJ and producer Mario Silva is back at Piston with the impressive two tracker – Anomalia EP which is the follow up to his early 2017 slice Come Together EP. Over the last number of years this guy has released some excellent cuts on various labels including Obscura Recordings, Plastik Galaxy and Dubtek Records to name just a few. He has also shown up on Monog Records back in 2014 with Portrait Illusions and a remix on HedUbble’s Animal Feeling as well as an appearance on Tech House Toolbox 3 for Bonzai Progressive. Always a pleasure to hear new material and we hope to be hearing more soon.

FOLLOWING LIGHT & K.OSHKIN – MELANCHOLIA EP FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Following Light and K.Oshkin join forces on the superb two tracker Melancholia EP. Ukranian born Kirill Guk aka Following Light has remained a constant force in the progressive house world since 2010 having released on a vast selection of labels. He first appeared on Green Martian back in 2015 with Dell and has went on to remix several cuts on various labels under the Bonzai umbrella. His music features heavily in sets across the globe and he has worked with some top artists along the way. K.Oshkin aka Konstantin Oshkin makes his first GM appearance with this one after showing up on Bonzai Progressive one year ago with Assol. Since 2014 this guy has racked up an impressive discography that focuses in on quality progressive sounds. His work has been released on various labels including Incepto, Sleepless Nights Recordings, Inmost Records, Aeriform Records and Balkan Connection to name just a few. On top of that he has worked with a raft of top producers, Ewan Rill, Following Light, Matt Holliday and Jonnas B are just some of the artists who have picked up on Konstantin’s sound and provided their own top class remix.

TIESTO – THE TUBE – MATAN CASPI REMIX CHARTED BY BEATPORT

We continue our 25th year celebrations with another classic remixed in contemporary style. This time around Matan Caspi gets to grips with Tiesto’s 1996 cut The Tube which first appeared on our XTC imprint back in the day. Tiesto aka Tijs Verwest really needs no introduction, he’s achieved global success in the last 20 years playing in massive arenas to sold out concerts as well as unleashing a torrent of music in that time. His early days stretch right back to 1990 and he is the man behind a multitude of aliases which littered the early 90’s with some memorable moments. He first appeared for us on Bonzai Jumps with Glycerine – 666 in 1995 which also led to contributions on other BJ cuts. His first release as DJ Tiesto was this one which came around the same time as his other Bonzai Jumps releases – Second Game and When I was A Sperm – under his Tom Ace and TB X-Press (with Bjorn Wendelen aka DJ Ghost) monikers respectively. Matan Caspi takes to the helm on the remix and yet again he impresses with his attention to dishing out pure quality progressive house. Based in Tel Aviv he remains undoubtedly one of the most productive electronic music producers under the spotlight. He has been constantly developing his music productions and his work has been internationally exposed and played by many artists and top DJis around the globe. Over the years he has amassed 15 original cuts with us at Bonzai HQ as well as a ton of remixes and appearances on many compilations. He’s also a regular visitor to our Bonzai Basik Beats radioshow where he delivers tight mixes at every turn. He runs the label Outta Limits together with his good friend and production partner Stan Kolev and is always busy with touring and concentrating on his future productions, where you will find original, raw and innovative material.

RPO & MANU RIGA – TERRA VETERIS FEATURED BY BEATPORT

RPO aka Rick Pier O’Neil joins forces for the first time with Bonzai Progressive stalwart Manu Riga on the sublime Terra Veteris which also features stunning vocals from Mandy Jones on the track Still Alone. French native Rick started DJing at just 14 years old, at 16 he already became a sound engineer and built his first home studio. He quickly gained a reputation as a talented artist and travelled to the US where he became embedded into the music scene there. He set up two record labels, Pro Records and Garbage Records and tracks from these labels have been hammered by top jocks all over the world. We’ve seen several hugely impressive remixes from him on BP over the last few years and no doubt we’ll be seeing much more. Manu Riga remains a much revered artist at BP, he’s contributed so many wonderful gems over the last 7 years and he doesn’t seem to be letting up just yet. He never fails to deliver on the quality front and he recently ventured into a new style for his music with excellent results. His last outing was on remix duties for Brlee – This Is The Place which followed the amazing Your Silent Cries which grabbed a lot of attention. Mandy Jones returns with her sultry tones and delicate inflexions to provide the vocals on Still Alone. She worked with Manu Riga on Disconnected and brought a whole new dynamic to the progressive sound, nice to see her back once again. Three top notch artists at the peak of their game.

MUSICOLEPTIK – ZENIT FEATURED BY BEATPORT

London based artist Musicoleptik debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the sublime Zenit. Born into a musical environment he immediately started gaining experience. Originally playing the guitar and the bass in bands, he eventually took a turn towards the technical aspects of the industry with a focus on music production. Throughout the years heis scored installations, produced and mixed other artistis projects, while his own productions have made it to the charts on more than one occasion. After years of being involved in the dance scene and a number of releases under his belt, he decided to start a new project, which will allow him to explore a different approach to making music. Musicoleptik is focused on fusing organic and electronic elements in a downtempo manner with the aim to eventually be able to transfer that on stage.

JAKHIRA – BOSTON RASCAL FEATURED BY BEATPORT

Jakhira’s next outing on Piston is the delicious deep house groover Boston Rascal which comes backed up with two superb remixes from Rubba J and label boss Rogerio Martins. UK born but now residing in Belgium, Jack delivers a certain dynamic in his sound which captivates the listener. His musical roots spread far and wide with some serious bangers across multiple genres. More recently he has favoured the deeper, soulful side of house music while maintaining a presence in other styles. His last cut for us here at Piston was a fantastic remix on Demarkus Lewis – Sing It which grabbed a lot of attention. Much more to come from this outstandingly talented artist, stay tuned.

JAMES BRUCKE – JUST LIKE THAT (ORIGINAL MIX) CHARTED BY BEATPORT

Just Like That sets out with one thing in mind, to get the booty’s on the floors. Nice and punchy kick drums alongside a shuffling hi hat and percussion arrangement will certainly see to that. The track simply oozes a pure house vibe courtesy of a scathing chord stab that dominates the groove. On the low end we find a sublime subby bass that adds a wonderful deep layer to the track. Excellent stuff that will not disappoint.

Legendary DJ and producer Phi Phi digs out two of his floorfillers for the remix treatment, and we couldn’t be more happier with the results.
