Manu Riga continues to impress with his latest effort, Last Grain Of Sand. Since the dawn of Bonzai Progressive, he remains a stalwart for us and on the scene. He exudes quality as well as inspiration for others to evolve their own sound. A dedicated artist with an exhausting work ethic, committing himself to various projects with top collaborators alongside managing his own labels – Vesta Records and Vesta Lux. He also provides the tunes on Progressive Beats Radio, with his show, Escape.
Jordan based DJ, producer Mazen aka Mazen Hamid debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Vela. Born in Beirut, Mazen felt a draw towards music from a young age, listening to a wide range of music. His strong passion for music led him to DJing and ultimately producing. He was mentored by G-Mohris at Pur-Vert Studios before he started to land gigs at many parties around his city. He started to study audio engineering in Amman and by 2013 he started his professional career in music. He’s played alongside top jocks from all over the world and has worked with many artists in the studio also. We do hope to be hearing more from him in the future, but in the meantime, enjoy this fine release which comes with two solid remixes.
DJ, producer Black On:yx debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic Into U. Born to make music, Black On:yx is revered for his now legendary Inmate events, which have been providing quality entertainment since 2014. His ambition to achieve is one of his greatest strengths and his creativity has earned respect amongst his peers. His music career has come a long away in a relatively short space of time, playing alongside top jocks in countries all around the world. He is constantly evolving and strives to be spontaneous and unpredictable.
Airwave is back, and he’s here to give us yet another special track, constructed from his wonderfully creative mind. Flying Paper Planes is his latest creation and once again, he knocks it outta the park, as does Rick Pier O’Neil who returns to Bonzai Progressive on the remix. Airwave remains one of electronic music’s greats. His prolific prowess has stood him well throughout his career, earning him great respect among his peers and his worldwide fanbase. For us, it’s always a pleasure when he turns out new material and, no doubt, we can all say we’ve been extremely lucky to have witnessed his talent for over 20 years, here’s to 20 more.
Pavlin Petrov and Graham Lloris join forces again, reanimating their 2014 cut, Eternal Sky alongside Bonzai Progressive debutant, Miwa. Pavlin started producing in 2005 with a keen interest in ambient before he got more into progressive house. He likes to experiment with every new track and express that deep and dark feeling dedicated to his unique style. He’s been responsible for a raft of quality cuts for us over the years and we’ve no doubt there’s much more to come. Graham Lloris started producing in 1998. He has always had an interest in progressive house, in particular the darker, underground sound. His style has developed over many years and he has established himself as a solid, consistently creative artist. Hiroshima, Japan based vocalist Miwa has made appearances on TV shows and clubs as a dancer and singer. She was introduced to GOTO (from rock band Plagues) and they started to make music together. She has collaborated with a host of artists over the years, thanks to her rich and warm, outstanding voice.
Slovenian DJ, producer, and one of our most prolific artists, Crocy, returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Magika. Matevz began his musical career in 1992, attending music school in his hometown. He played the accordion for several years and during this time he was listening to different genres of music, searching for his own sound. After many years as a DJ, he discovered and became involved in producing with his first tracks being released in 2006. His original and remixes can be found on some of the best labels in the world. His relationship with Bonzai began around 2012, and since then he has delivered a raft of quality cuts, never failing to impress with consistent quality always at the forefront.
India based DJ, producer Kay Mallani debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the superb Mehesha, which is backed up with solid remix from John May. A rising talent in India, Kay loves to play out in clubs and produce his own music. He is well-known for his progressive house exploits and finds inspiration from a host of artists from around the world including Kash Trivedi, Paul Thomas, Nathan C and Max Freegrant among others. His first releases saw great support from all over, heralding his sound as club banging style. We’re delighted to have him on board at BP.
Spanish DJ, producer Alberto Santana debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic Jupiter Ascending. Alberto manages the Spanish label Spazio Sonoro which specializes in Techno. With a host of quality artists on the books. He is also hailed as one of the new leaders of a generation of Spanish producers. He has always been influenced by electronic music, when he took to DJing he realised this was not enough and started to produce, which led to several releases on quality labels. His career is still fledgling and, thanks to his ever-increasing ambitions, his style is always evolving. Great to have him on board.
Greg S return with Desire, along with top-notch remixes from a bunch of his friends. Greg S began his love affair with electronic music in the 90’s. In 2012 he was ready to chase his dream of playing in the clubs he partied in many years ago. He became a resident at Boccaccio and it wasn’t long before festival organisers wanted him on their stages. In 2017 he started to produce, releasing his first track on Bonzai – Go Away, to rave reviews. Great to have him back.
Scottish DJ, producer Allan McLoud returns to Bonzai Progressive with This Is Now, which is backed up with a solid remix from F-Act. This one follows his debut – Reset EO, which proved popular among many. From a very young age Allan was listening to music, playing different instruments and ripping guitar amps apart to find out how they work. In the late 80’s he started to DJ and produce Jazz influenced Hip-Hop using a Commodore C64 and Amiga 500 with self-built interfaces, but soon found his love for electronic music after becoming captivated with the sounds of 80’s synth music. He started out making breakbeat before finding the fledgling acid sound and finally finding his passion producing trance, which was influenced by the Dorian Gray sound of the time. He then started DJing in Clubs in North Germany making a name for himself and then deciding to move to the Stuttgart area where he started doing studio work for Unsubmissive Records. Throughout the years after, he released a plethora of music on several labels which were championed the world’s top jocks. Over the past several years he’s been collecting and repairing old analogue synthesizers and rebuilding his studio where he has a new mission to create more outstanding music for our listening pleasure. Nice to see him back once again.
Almi & Theus (BR) are back at Bonzai Progressive with another outstanding progressive monster titled Silence, which follows hot on the heels of their last outing, Wishes. Almi continues to impress, with productions and remixes, adding creative elements to his sound. His tracks have been released on several labels both as a solo artist and in groups. In 2020 he is reaching for higher ground by venturing into the darker sounds of melodic techno and house, we certainly look forward to that. Theus has been producing music since 2017 and is an artist with focus, he’s attended many clubs and festivals, getting a feel for the sound so he can find his own way and uniqueness. He is inspired by melodic and progressive nuances of House and Techno. He is always ready for a great performance, knowing how to read the dance floor and getting the audience to immerse in his musical experience. Great to have both these talented artists back once, much more to come in the future.
