Based out of Quesada, Spain but born in Temse, Belgium, electronic music producer Bossta returns to Bonzai Progressive for his full release debut with, I Can Hear You. This one follows his first effort on the label, a remix for Jack Avenue’s Faces, which saw great support. For Boosta, music is an endless discovery of finding what works on the dancefloor. He draws inspiration from old school Belgian clubs like Illusion and Carat, who helped pave the way for electronic music for Belgium. His style, while diverse in nature, is done with an on-the-fly approach in mind. Each track is produced entirely with hardware, from the ground up. Bossta began producing in 2005, an honest hobby that has effortlessly evolved into a full-blown career. Though for him, it’s far from ever feeling like work, he does it for the love of the artform, and his passion for seeing people enjoy themselves on the dancefloor.

The release opens with the Vocal Mix, and right from the off we get locked into a solid, funky groove thanks to that infectious bassline. The track is transformed with tight beats, striking synths, chunky bass plucks and a cool vocal. PCP returns on remix duties, offering up a fine slice of progressive house once again. His last outing here, Burning EP, was very well received and we’re delighted to see him back for more. On the remix here, we’re treated to a classic 909 drum and percussion arrangement, backed up with strong, probing basses and gritty stabs. The vocal adds an extra layer with the main theme of the track delivering a retro vibe. The Instrumental Mix rounds out the release, stripping out the vocal to leave a flowing progressive mover, an absolute must have.
