EPISODE 137: Nu Fjord feat. Belle – Forget (Green Martian)

Nu Fjord is an electronic music producer best known for his melodic and passionate electronic music. Having produced his first track at the age of 15, he already has almost a decade of experience even though he is still a young producer at the age of 24.

Nu Fjord is best known for his track “Ana’s Tone” which was released in 2010, an exciting track that blends different kinds of electronic music genres.

Nu Fjord is now collaborating with other artists, in particular his latest collaboration with vocalist Belle ( From Sidekick saves hero! & Golden Hour) is set to be released on Green Martian records.

EPISODE 138: Eric Kanzler – Fog Horn EP (Bonzai Basiks)

Erik Kanzler has significantly gained importance as producer and DJ over the past few years.

In 1999 he made is first experiences as a DJ, a producer and a party-organizer and worked hard on his carrier in each of these aspects. But it was not until 2010 that Digital Records published unexpectedly his very first release Starcake. It was followed by two more releases. In Spring 2011 he released the About Be EP under his alter ego Kanzler and Wischnewski on the label Keymono Music which was at the same time his first Vinyl release. Soon after that release after release followed on labels such as Karateklub Records who published his Flatrunner EP, Ostfunk Records from Berlin and Etiketa Records from Croatia.

His alter ego, which is actually a merger, Kanzler and Wischnewski was founded in 2010. In his music he combines layers of dry and well-structured sounds together with house grooves and dubby bass, jazz trumpets and oriental sounds and adds a touch of minimalistic to take the crowd beyond the main-floor experience.
People from the press described his sound as Fresh and an Exploration Of The Abstract and Minimal New Chicago Sound.

Eric Kanzlers live act are extravagant and not for the average audience. A look hat the upcoming booking dates shows that with his gigs he reaches much further than Berlin and he is said to be the most interesting newcomer act around.

EPISODE 139: Oz Romita – Sputnik (Mint & Mustard Recordings)

Oz Romita is known for his fresh and energetic style. Over the years he developed a very wide and various taste for dance music, thanks to his residencies in clubs. All records he spins are selected with great care, to create a powerful set. His capacity of mixing ranges from tribal and uplifting beats, to tech house, minimal and techno. He knows how to handle the crowd with everything he has got and he defo knows how to keep people dancing.

Oz Romita, born in Izmir, Turkey and raised in Amsterdam, has been working and rocking the scene since 1997. Worldwide he played in clubs and parties such as, Club Panama, Club Ministry, Bliss Deluxe, In Bed with Space (Amsterdam), Circo Loco (Antwerp), Café d’Anvers, La Rocca, Noxx, Hali Karnas, Scene, Infinity Festival, Suppercub Cruise, Luxurush, Heineken Music Hall, Mysteryland, Marcanti, Club Home, Lexion, Full Moon Parties (Thailand), Santa Fe, Green Mango,
Le Ranch, Club Cinco and many others.

EPISODE 140: Patrik Prelovsky – MiniJazz (Eyepatch Recordings)

Born in Czech Republic in 1983.
I started to play vinyls in 2001 age 17.

At that time I was focusing mainly on techno following guys like Carola, Liebing, Kanzyani, Umek.
Every beginning is hard but with patience and a lot of hard work I am now in the position of playing around the brightest clubs and venues in the Czech Republic

I was actively involved in a tour sponsored by Sony Ericsson that promoting a DJ school this way I was able to play on the most famous festivals happening in the Czech Republic (Hard House, Summer Of Love, Rock For People, Hip Hop Camp)

Ever since software solutions have made their entrance into every DJs Studio I also thought of making my own music seen the situation of the market where the demand for classic DJs is decreasing.

After some trial and error I finally landed the right track which got picked up by Eyepatch Recordings in 2011.

EPISODE 141: Accatone – La Musique (Piston Recordings)

Accatone is the alias of José Reis. Born in 7 July 1980, he went through his teens listening to Detroit techno and Chicago house music, deep and dub techno and later on to all kind of world, funk and folk, dub and reggae, soul and all kinds of music really.

At the age of 15 he had dj’s and performers as friends and his contact with the after-hours scene in Lisbon started at the early age of 16, making his personal heroes DJ’s like Jeff Mills, Dave Clarke, Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier, Juan Atkins, Plastikman, Green Velvet, The Orb, Larry Levan, Luke Slater, Underworld, Derrick Carter, and many more.

He started his musician career in 1998 as a percussionist playing all over Portugal as a freelancer and as a member of many bands like the folk band Dazkarieh in 2002, and the chill out project Tachyons from 2003 to 2005. Then he his way into production of electronic music between chill out and deep house and playing as a DJ at most of the trance and techno open air party’s and clubs all over Portugal having his debut abroad in 2009 in Belgrade Serbia at the Namaste Club.

It is only in 2008 after he graduates from the National Conservatory of Cinema, in the Sound Department, that he begins to embrace the production of house and techno at a full range. He pursuits for different and more accurate deep and groovy house tunes working as a DJ, Producer/Remixer and sound recordist and closely involved with Piston Recordings ran by his long time friend Rogério Martins.
