After a sublime remix on Quadran’s, Animals Rebellion, Audio Noir kicks off 2015 with the superb Life, which comes packed with three awesome remixes as well as two original versions. 2014 was extremely busy for Australia’s hardest working producer, a studio album, multiple releases and a plethora of remixes have put this guys at the top of his game. So much more to come from down under so make sure you stay tuned.

The Vox On mix intros with a cool scratchy percussion arrangement that leads into a pounding kick and sharp hat combi. Swirling strings bring a surreal feeling to the track with a melodic flavour that draws you in. The track breaks to reveal a stunning female vocal full of melancholy and the perfect contrast to the high pitched strings before descending into a deeper, darker progressive groove with the addition of a bubbling bass that adds a wonderfully warm texture to the sound. Excellent stuff yet again that will whet the appetite for those deep prog sets. Also, check out the Vox Off with the vocal stripped out to leave a sublime instrumental version.

First up on remix duties we have Alex Vidal with his deep and lush progressive grooves. Alex’s last outing, Pieces Of A Dream back in the last quarter of 2014 was very well received indeed with support coming in from all angles. Here he injects some fantastic prog vibes into the remix right from the off as a nice punchy kick is joined by crispy hats and a rolling bass that fades up beautifully to dominate the track. In the background pads form up and provide a wonderful atmosphere to the sound that fits perfectly with the darker tones. The bass is complimented by some very cool chord stabs that evolve throughout the track. On the break we get a glimpse of the vocal with its playful yet haunting feel. A true deep and hypnotic slice here that you will not want to miss.

The ever popular Yuriy From Russia is next up on the remix. In 2014 Yuriy churned out multiple remixes for Bonzai, including a remix on Audio Noir’s Almost Famous, that gained lots of attention and charted across many platforms. He also got showings on many compilations including Club Traxx Progressive House 13 and Bonzai & Friends Underground Progressive Collection among others. Here the track intros with a cool round of percussions that layer up into a smooth flowing rhythmic vibe. A deep and lush bass takes over the track and drives the groove beautifully into progressive utopia. Swirling pads litter the background and bring a melodic edge to the sound as the vocals tease their way through. The track builds nicely and those playful vocals really add great character. The bass develops into a groovy mover as various notes begin to cascade through. Another top notch effort from Yuriy that will be a welcome addition to any set.

Narel aka Nick Simmons rounds up this package with his Remix Parts 1 & 2. We last saw Narel on Green Martian with the outstanding The View At 2 AU. On top of that he also got an appearance on the chart topping Bonzai & Friends compilation. Great to see this guy back and we hope to see more of him in the future. The remix today comes in two parts, the intro brings a myriad of synths and strings that form intricate and colourful patterns. The track takes off with a fantastic punchy kick that really dominates and works perfectly with the mid range sounds. A somewhat laidback groove comes off the bass as it meanders through the sound working in tandem with the melodic flow of the track before it begins its rise with superb note changes. On the break we get drawn into a beautiful melodic sequence as cascading arps fade through and lead us into the second half of the remix which becomes a slightly more upbeat affair. The vocal sweeps through the sound throughout and brings with it a contrasting melancholy. A stunning journey into the progressive world from Narel making this a track you will not want to miss.
