Bonzai artist Philthy Chit is beginning to make a name for himself in the progressive house world. Having grown up listening to classic trance and real progressive music, his sound is heavily influenced by pioneers such as Sasha, Digweed, Nick Muir, along with current outstanding producers Gai Barone, Petar Dundov and Guy J, keeping the progressive sound with a trance element.
Having claimed a residency at Manchester based progressive house night AGENDA for 4 years running, the emphasis is now on production. The passion for emotive, inspiring music is displayed in Philthy Chit’s unique productions and mixes, striving to create fresh, innovative music, combining elements from deep house, melodic techno and progressive. Having drawn the attention of major artists and record labels worldwide, Philthy Chit are signed to the world renowned Bonzai Records.
Philthy Chit productions have received support and radio plays from the likes of Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, John 00 Fleming, Airwave, Gai Barone, Solarstone and many more. The first four releases on Bonzai entered theAudiojelly.com download charts at number 1, outselling major artists and producers worldwide. Released in October 2013, Philthy Chit were part of a massive EP on Bonzai by Moshic, including remixes by Airwave and John 00 Fleming. December saw the release of “Nico Parisi – Caress” a progressive house monster, with the Philthy Chit remix being included in Paul Oakenfold’s “DJ Box – March 2014″ released on Perfecto Records. Their recent collaboration with Trilucid entitled “Syntax” on Saturate Audio with a superb remix from none other than Gai Barone, received huge support and both tracks entered the Beatport top 40 trance tracks. Soon after, Philthy Chit was given the opportunity to remix the legendary Airwave’s “Breeze On The Nile”, the track entering the top 30 in the Beatport charts.
2014 looks to be a big year for Philthy Chit, with an exclusive track released on Solarstone’s EA3 album,and forthcoming remixes and productions for Bonzai and Saturate.
