ALESSAN MAIN & KEVH RIPPLE – ICLOCK (SOUNDS R US RECORDINGS)

Chilean born DJ and producer Cristian Alexander Soto López aka Alessan Main is back on SRUR alongside Columbian producer Kevh Ripple. Kevh is making his debut on SRUR but these guys have worked together before on projects for labels such as Nature Beat Records, Polar Noise and Hulk Records to name a few. This track “Iclock” comes backed up with two superb remixes courtesy of Ozan Kanik and James Hopkins.

The Original mix is a wonderful slice of techno with a myriad of sounds that are not far off industrial levels. Tough and gritty kick and bass combi set up a full on techno ride with a host of raw sounds that give off that edgy vibe. Top notch stuff.

The popular Ozan Kanik is up next with his remix which is filled with all the flavours you’d expect from his brand of techno. Tough beats with sharp contrasting hats provide solid rhythms while the bassline pulsates through the sound. Throughout the track and one of its main features is a relentless arp that just keeps going and going creating a hypnotic vibe, great stuff!

Another familiar face around SRUR is James Hopkins with his stunning remix. The intro boasts a chunky kick which sits nicely alongside an open hat and gives off a classic vibe. Very subtle synth notes try to poke through while the bassline adds depth to the sound. Very nice FX work filters in and ties the track up beautifully. Not to be missed and a clear favourite for those late night floors.
