R3cycle and Roy Lebens join forces for their Bonzai Progressive duo debut with the superb Thousand Pound which is backed up by two solid remixes. Both guys have been here before on Matan Caspi & Roy Lebens 2015 cut Klubnichka with R3cycle on remix duty. R3cycle aka Shahar Shtrikman got into music from a very young age. In 1996 he was introduced to music making program Impulse Tracker which led him to get studying to become a sound engineer. With an impressive release count, Shahar likes to focus on creating nice atmospheres and melodies. Roy has also seen a raft of releases on several labels. A bit more mysterious than his studio partner, the guys have worked together on occasion. In 2014 they also had an appearance on our Club Traxx Progressive House 1 compilation. Great to have both on board.
Köschk returns to Bonzai Progressive with True Romance which is backed up by two quality remixes from Nico Parisi and Experimental Feelings. This one is the latest in a string of quality releases for us over the last few years with the latest effort As Clear As Dream performing very well indeed. Lebanese DJ and producer Vince Aoun started his online radio show Catalepsy in 2010, which ran for 5 years. Over those years, he grabbed the attention of many top jocks like Paul Van Dyk, Judge Jules, and Paul Oakenfold and his tracks appeared on many labels around the globe, until Cygnus got a notable release on PVD’s Vandit Records. After several remixes and appearances on our compilations, he began to deliver top notch original works which always grab a lot of attention.
Canadian artist Rob Dawson aka Magnovis returns with the fantastic Rudimentary Hypnosis which features a solid remix from Ewan Rill. Hi last outing here was back in March 2018 with Fifth Dimension which gained great support. Magnovis mindfully crafts music that expresses his infatuation with sound. Each piece is an opportunity to work with people close to him or to explore a new sensation that invokes the desire to groove. He understands that music is a community, and he always intends to bring his values to the soundboard in a way that makes a better experience for listeners and artists alike. Evoking many of the sounds reminiscent of the past, he keeps striving to move forward with fresh grooves and elemental prowess. Citing Victor Calderone, Guy J., Guy Mantzur, Cid Inc., and Chus & Ceballos as his influences, his listeners wholeheartedly agree that he has carved his own signature sound. It’s these personal touches that make Magnovis’ pieces shine. His tracks are infectious, bold, and, most importantly, uniquely his.
We welcome back experienced Belgian artist Manu Riga with his superbly crafted two track slice titled Kurudi. Since 2010 we’ve seen this guy’s sound evolve and mature, taking his sound on a journey to find new ideas and forming unique musical textures. With a hugely impressive original and remix release count, we continue to be surprised by just how talented he is. More recently he has taken to a more direct, club orientated approach, a deeper more upfront style, which is being appreciated by his core fan base and wider music loving community. His latest offering was on remix duties for Night Shift Master’s Code Red which, as expected, gained great support. Over the last several months he successfully took the reins at Vesta Records alongside Rick Pier O’Neill and he continues his monthly radio show, Escape on Progressive Beats radio. It’s always a pleasure when his latest original works comes through the office, because we know we’re in for a real treat.
