The Revolving Junkie aka UK based producer Paul Kieran is back after his last release on BP “No Stars”, although he has been busy during that time with remixes on RV’s “Disorder” and others. Today he presents us his “Monsieur EP”, a brilliant two track progger with elements of tech thrown in.

The title track gets us moving with a nice thudding kick with the percussions slowly building. As the track meanders its way through a multitude of sounds the synth work starts to shine through, raw and edgy sounding in parts with some softer synths adding contrasts in all the right spots. Intricate patterns weave out this story and its sure to be a perfect addition in any set.

“Centipede” intros with long filtering kicks that builds anticipation with a sense of relief when the kicks start to pound. Again we see some very cool percussion arrangement from Paul as the track builds the sounds layer upon layer. Much more of a minimal vibe here with a deep warping bass coming at ya. Subtle synths wander in and begin to rise through the track until they climax with huge impact taking over the track completely, super stuff.
