To start 2013 AU Orange delivers a tasty deep single coming from Bruno Ferreira.
The original mix is a House track filled with lovely chords, vocals and a beast bassline. But what make it special is the Hook, which delivers a very jazzy and twisted feeling.
Fragoso & Swing City Remix, well it’s Acid, and the 909 is played in Chicago House style, the track its really really deep, digging all the time around the “Monster” Bassline.
The Hook of original is also present in this remix, although its not Organ style anymore. It’s a very warm chord that turns a track into a deeper anthem.
Zalaz & Memo Sepulveda remix brings us a completely different interpretation full of pads and sub basses. The vocal appears in a completely different approach, with reverses and cuts. Lovely!
And we go dark again… AU Black is proud to present Sohan’s “Adi Shakti”, a single containing the original version and two remixes, one by Zalaz and the other by Izato, Black Catalog’s Main A&R.
In the original, Sohan revives the feeling of old school tribal percussion and vocals, revealing its power after the build ups, along with the carefully chosen pad synths for the breakdowns.
Zalaz did an excellent job, making his track fluent and listener friendly by developing a brilliant sequence of delays on some percussion elements and synth sounds. This is an excellent example of underground dark music capable of pleasing a broader audience.
Izato’s approach kept the darkness and added a new school feeling to it, induced by his minimalistic yet effective percussion, beautiful distorted guitar effects and a carefully thought structure. It is a remarkable work in terms of synthesis and on how to achieve complex and nice sounding build ups thru it.
