First up we journey into the sounds of “Backstage Queen” from Dimitry Liss & Nasrawi, both these guys have appeared on this series before and we just had to get them back again. This track is a deep house groove that grabs you and holds you in its grip for the duration. Sublime deep bass and a well crafted arrangement are held together with a quite brilliant vocal sequence throughout the track.
Daniele Kama’s remix of Wonji’s “Convince Me” is up next with a more tribal feel, lots of bongos doing the rounds and the vocal takes control when in effect. A deep bassline commands throughout and on the break some classic samples are evident, perfect fodder for vinyl and already a firm favourite on the circuit.
The awesome talents of Dimitry Liss gives us his Re-Rub of Project KF’s “Priority Of Night”, and taking things to a deeper level. Cool sharp hats accompanied with a tight kick set up a solid groove. The sounds are arranged brilliantly with a few added vocal samples thrown in, monster tune for any floor.
Crocy’s “Bouquet” carves out a cool groove with a laidback approach to deep tech house. Subtle intro with percussions building the rhythm and the bass shining through for an awesome ride. On the break funky keys make an appearance changing the landscape slightly and then straight back to a solid deep groove, top stuff.
Lucio is now a very regular fixture here at Bonzai and he gets his first outing on Eyepatch with this brilliant release “Jazz Jaus” which is backed up with a great remix. Lucio has already seen releases on Bonzai Basiks, Mint & Mustard, Howz Choonz and Bonzai Progressive, this is testament to his musical diversity and there is excitement every time he unleashes a new cut.
The original mix is quite simply a fantastic jazz, house fusion. The tune intros with some very cool jazzy double bass, subtle pianos and brushy percussions that slowly builds to a full on house experience. Classic house chords find their way into the groove and the whole track comes together beautifully.
Deep, tech house stalwart Wonji is up for remix duty next and he delivers the goods yet again. Taking the original on a much more ethereal journey with bigger synth sounds yet he keeps with the jazzy element on the chords and bass. The track peaks at the right time with the sounds coming together brilliantly, another fine example of Wonji’s immense talent.
“Down Town” gets right into the heart of jazz with another superb double bass riff coupled with very modern almost game style FX coming through. Nice steady rhythms are built with a great drum section while pure house vibes filter in superbly, top stuff again!

The head of Piston Recordings, Rogerio Martins, steps up on remix duty with his Next To My Body Remix. Rogerio turns up the heat a bit here and takes us deeper into the groove, deep basses and tight drums get us to an absolute stunner of a break. The vocal comes in and the funk begins with some brilliant chord work, big sound here and will be a top pick for many jocks.
Eyepatch regular Wonji takes control and delivers a sublime take with a straight in your face tech ride Taking on a more surreal feel with long reverbed sounds and retaining a solid groove, great use of the vocal also and this is a tune that will keep you hooked throughout.
Popular remixer Project KF keeps the party rocking with another fine deep tech fuelled effort on the mixing desk. Darker edged vibe with a hypnotic feel, lots of nice samples come and go with a huge rise to the first break that kicks back with the now familiar vocal. Big party sound on this one and definitely one for a lot of floors all over.
Richard Dinsdale (Great Stuff, Toolroom, Hot Fingers) charted Wonji – Convince Me on his latest Beatport chart!
Fresh from the superb “From My Soul EP” Wonji returns with another huge soul funkin groover with a few awesome remixes.
The original mix of “Convince Me” is an amazing trek into the world of house with hints of tech and funk. Well structured sounds from the percs to the kicks and the brilliant guitars to a spoken vocal that takes control of the waves. Top class stuff that is sure to be a hit with its upbeat vibe.
Portugal’s own Accatone is first up with his Back In The Day Remix. Accatones unique style shines through bringing a deeper slide to the original. Tight arrangement on the percs and kicks with wonderful organs and synth stabs. There is a retro element here that comes to the fore with a brilliant trumpet riff, class!
Daniele Kama is up next with a more tribal feel, lots of bongos doing the rounds and the vocal takes control when in effect. A deep bassline commands throughout and on the break some classic samples are evident.
Popular remixer Jimmy Galle provides the final remix here and a stellar job it is. Straight to the floor intro with a huge rising effect kick us into a bouncing bassline, a sinister vocal comes through now and again and this gives a darker edge. On the break a melancholic melody appears and that massive riser comes in, kicking back in to a steady groove with some surreal sounds bringing this tune from the depths to a much more lighter feel, top stuff here.
