Buenos Aires based DJ and producer Max Biocca debuts on Piston with Calvin Is Back, a pumping two track tech house joint that will rock the floors, no doubt. In the last couple of years Max has seen several releases on labels including Beatamin Recordings and Balkan Connection Tech. His production style delivers quality vibes with every release and we’re delighted to have him on board at Piston.
Ilario Laggetta returns to Piston Recordings as a solo artist with his 088 EP. His debut for us came back in the Summer of 2015 alongside studio partner Alessio Rizzo with the superb Breakfast In Lebanon. Ilario found music early in his life and in 1988 he stepped into the DJ world and began a magical journey that would take him through various clubs and top spot at various DJ competitions. His sets deliver a cool blend of rhythmic tech house with melodic touches while his music carries its own unique characteristic. Great to see him at Piston once more.
Madrid based DJ and producer Mike Denitz returns to Piston Recordings for his second stint with the superb It’s Here EP. His last effort here – Come Back EP – proved popular among many and we’ve no doubt this one will follow suit. Since then he has released on several labels as well as featuring on My House Is Your House 14 for our parent label Bonzai Progressive. Nice to see him back for more. This three tracker serves up a real nice tech house treat that gives us plenty of reasons to hit the floors.

His last effort here – Come Back EP – proved popular among many and we’ve no doubt this one will follow suit. Since then he has released on several labels as well as featuring on My House Is Your House 14 for our parent label Bonzai Progressive. Nice to see him back for more.
Italian DJ and producer Mirko Gorelli is back at Piston and is joined by fellow country-man, DJ and producer Pierpaolo Pierotti on the superb Bassone UK which is backed with Pump Up The Bass. Mirko’s last outing was back in 2016 with Travel which proved popular among many. Delighted to see him back at Piston as we just love what this guy does with music. Pierpaolo Pierotti spent his adolescence listening to house music between clubs and music cassettes. His journey begins as P.R. and event organizer leading him to work with some of the best Italian clubs including Aqva Discovillage Numana, ECU Rimini, Syncopate and Prince Riccione.
Italian DJ and producer duo Riccardo Lippi and Marco Bottari make up Stranger Boys and they debut on Piston Recordings with the superb two tracker – Industry. Stranger Boys also known as Strangers Boys was brought to life in 2013 by Riccardo aka Ricky KK as a project to in electronic music, particularly tech house, minimal, deep house and techno. In the beginning he saw the project as a solo effort but with the idea of integrating new artists with similar interests. Towards the end of 2015 Marco Bottari joined and things started to get interesting for the pair. In 2016 they played for the first time together on Ibiza Radio before several releases came out on various labels. Lots more to come from these guys, well worth keeping an eye on.
Argentinean DJ and producer duo Agustin Dutari and Mauro Mosciaro debut on Piston with the tech house fuelled three tracker Behind The Beat. These guys are two clear examples of how Argentinean dance culture is shifting and moving, especially towards the rhythms of house. In the studio they combine their skill sets to produce only the finest quality beats and grooves. Agustin utilises his DJ skills, which he has presented at top clubs including Pacha, Ibiza and in showcases for Ibiza Global Radio. He has also travelled the beautiful Balearic Islands playing at different beach clubs and bars such as Sands, Delano, White, Magic Boat Party and Veto Social Club. Mauro combines his career as a music producer with DJing. He runs his own studio and when he’s not laying down house laden beats he’s working with bands and solo artists as a sound engineer. Working together for the last couple of years they are able to hone in on each other’s ideas with some very nice results indeed. A rising force in the South American scene and beyond, this duo is well worth keeping an eye on.
Historus makes the switch from Green Martian over to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Spray Me. We last saw him over on GM with Glass Rose which gained great support back in June 2016. A DJ, producer and musician he started his career as a rhythm guitarist in a hard rock band. For several years, he was looking for new sounds and he was inspired by the deep sound of techno music. Sometime later, he switched to a deeper-sounding music, such as Tech House and Deep House. He has released quality tracks on various labels including Baroque, Hydrogen, Bavaria Recordings and System Recordings to name just a few. In 2008 he had started his own label – Historus, which gave an opportunity for little-known musicians to exercise their creativity. For a few years he was a resident in several clubs and internet radio podcasts. Currently, his company is engaged in dance projects, producing and organization. Nice to have him on our flagship imprint and we hope to see more soon.
Argentinean DJ and producer Sherr aka German Basualdo debuts on Piston Recordings with the fantastic Los Monjes EP. Since his childhood he developed a passion for the art of sound. His love for the creation of rhythms and melodies grew over time, then he discovered house and fell in love with this rhythm. An obsessive collector always open to new inspirations of house music, he immediately began to understand and create his own music. His DJ sets are always fun, original and full of grooves that have made thousands of Buenos Aires clubbers dance over the years. He has seen releases on Innocent Music, Act Natural Records, Deeper Records, Alboratory, Tip Tap Records and Baile Musik. Great to have him on board at Piston.
Buenos Aires based DJ and producer Ivo C debuts on Piston with the superb It’s Time EP. Ivo has been releasing quality content since 2013 and his work has appeared on the likes of Deepmentality Records, Club Rayo Disquets, Kermesse Music, Votan Records and more. He puts in a lot of time DJing at various events around his hometown and beyond and his sets are renowned for pumping the crowd with energy and dynamic mixing. Great to have him on board at Piston and no doubt we’ll be seeing more from him in the future.
Alvaro Martins aka Upright is back at Piston and once again we are treated to another superb tech flavoured offering on the three tracker I Like This EP. This one marks his fifth release as well as appearances on The Best Of Piston Recordings 2015 and 2016. Alvaro has a clear vision on how he wants his sound to be received, strong rhythms and deep chords, the perfect recipe to light up floors. Always a pleasure to have his work drop into the mail box and we hope to see more soon.
Our My House Is Your House series continues and in this 14th instalment we’ve gathered together 30 choice cuts from a range of labels including Piston Recordings, HoF, Eyepatch Recordings, GMR and C&D. Deep, Tech and pure House grooves are on offer that will keep any party in full swing which is no surprise given the calibre of artists on show. SteMI aka Italian DJ and producer Stefano Minturnino returns to Piston alongside debutant Silvestro S with their superb two tracker entitled Monday Night. SteMI’s last appearance here was back in June 2016 with Timeless and since then he’s released several tracks on various labels with each one consisting of top quality vibes. Silvestro S has also been dishing out top notch vibes on different labels for over 6 years now and his work is very much revered in the scene. A dynamic pairing here that we know will yield some positive vibes among many, great to have them at Piston.
Monotronik are Portuguese DJ and producer duo Freddy Lourenzo and D’Joseph Alves and they return to Piston Recordings with the superb Subculture. Their last outing here was their debut Divergence, back in early Summer 2016, was very well received indeed having landed on many charts and playlists. The pair DJ regularly all over the place and are known for their tight, groovy sets. They’ve put out several top quality cuts recently on Underground Source Records and Sync Forward, moving between tech house and deep house. Great to see them back once again, well worth keeping an eye on.
