Crocy’s previously released ‘Cry’, featuring the vocals of Ashley Berndt, gets the remix treatment in this superb pack. The remixes come courtesy of some of Bonzai Progressive’s hottest artists at the moment, notably Audio Noir, Steve Sai and DaSmokin’Frogz.
First up we get deep into progressive grooves with Australian producer Audio Noir and his Sound Of Eden Remix. Phat chunky kicks get the grooves flowing and are soon joined by a bubbly bass that rises from below. Crispy hats and well crafted percussions provide a steady, flowing rhythm alongside smooth vocals. The break offers up a beautifully surreal sequence with warm pads and that sensual vocal on top of the contrasting deep bass. Superb prog house journey not to be missed.
Steve Sai delivers a solid house groove on his remix as cool thumpy kicks get the track moving with intricate percussion patterns coming through effortlessly. The now trademark deep bass on this track is the perfect companion to the sultry vocals of Ashley Berndt. In the background subtle melodies are woven through cool pads and synth keys. The track culminates in a true prog house groove that will have any floor shaking.
Rounding off this superb pack we have DaSmokin’Frogz Remix. Here the track is given a proper deep tech house makeover. The intro boasts a classic kick and hat combo which leads into the very raw, organic bass that dominates the track. Cool electro styled samples pop up along the way and add smooth textures to the sound. The break is filled with a myriad of blips and bleeps that contrast well alongside the warm pad and stunning vocals before building back up to the main track where we get locked into this solid groove once more, superb stuff.
Greek born DJ and producer Steve Sai returns to the Bonzai Progressive stable with this stunning two tracker entitled ‘White Fluffy Clouds’. Steve’s last track ‘The Cube EP’ got the attention from many corners, and no doubt this release will be up there with its predecessor.
The title track, ‘White Fluffy Clouds’ gets us on the go with a smooth deep progressive house workout. Nice and steady rhythms built up on the intro with a cool hat, clap combo alongside sweetly melodic synth shots. The bass and kicks join the party and set the track on its proper journey through prog with a hypnotic undertone that really captivates your mind. The break goes to a deep place enhancing the experience throughout this superb track, great stuff.
‘Across The Sky’ intros with a distant kick that sits below a dark synth sound. The kicks soon beef up and a solid progressive groove is born as a wonderful bassline eases into the sound. Flowing, soothing rhythms emanate from the tight arrangements as the layers are expertly crafted. At the break things simmer down to a blissful state before you are ejected right back into the groove, top notch stuff!
Phi Phi and Airwave are back at it again with another absolute stomper ‘A Breeze On The Nile’. The guys had recently joined forces for the first time on the amazing ‘Back On Track’, and again this time around we see a slew of quality remixes included in this package. Great to see these two legends hitting the studio together and hopefully much more to come.
The Original Mix intros with crash that unleashes a cool round of mixed percussions before a slamming kick drum edges through. High quality FX work fills in the background as we build our way up to a superb bassline that dominates effortlessly and bringing with it a deep progressive vibe. Intense grooves are formed and on the break things quieten down with surreal pads creating a beautiful soundscape. Top notch stuff that will be a definite must on those deep progressive sets!
Philthy Chit teams up with Superlifter on their remix and they have really delivered on the quality front. The remix intros with a cool deep breaks vibe as rhythms slowly build with a round of percussions. Deep basses resonate throughout the sound and the intensity builds around some superb synth sequences. The break shows off some very cool pads and synths before crashing right back into this solid progressive groove.
Next up we have the Relaunch Mix, this guy has been around the remix circuit for quite a while and always produces top quality results. With a full release coming up on JOOF soon we hope to see a lot more from this stunning talent. The track embarks on an epic journey through progressive vibes as sounds evolve. The intro has a chunky kick and bass combo that sets the scene beautifully with smooth synths fading through. Steady rhythms are formed amongst a well crafted drum and percussion section and the tension rises. A gated synth arp dominates the sound for the most part as it rises and rises. A hell of a ride down into the darker recesses of progressive house.
Greece’s own Steve Sai is on a roll at the moment, he has recently seen two first class tracks and a host of remixes this year. On this remix Steve incorporates his own brand of prog with style and ease. Nice and steady flowing rhythms are the order of the day as the tight arrangements gel beautifully within the progressive sound. The bassline has a superb bouncing effect as it keeps the grooves in check with very subtle pads and synths to add texture. Great stuff yet again from Steve!
This week we have Steve Sai back behind the decks for our Bonzai Basik Beats Radioshow!

Based in Athens, Greece, DJ and producer Steve Sai debuts on BP with this stunning two track EP entitled “The Cube”. Steve made his first DJ appearance in 1996 and has been supply hypnotising beats to clubbers around the world ever since. He played at Love Parade 2006 and has graced the decks with many top DJ’s from all over. He also runs A&R at a few labels and his first release came in 2012 on Micro Digital Records.
The title track “The Cube” sets us off on a well crafted journey through deep progressive house sounds. Big deep bass on the intro with a chunky kick and percussion section keeping the rhythm flowing. Quality FX keep the ear trained while on the break an almost tribal feel comes through before getting back to a huge progressive groove, brilliant stuff here and one to watch!
“Nightfall” retains the deep vibes but with a melodic twist. On the intro keep your ears pinned as a classic vocal sample lurks in the background behind some sinister sounding pads and a subtle yet very powerful bassline. The percussions here are top drawer and you get that tribal rhythm feel to it, a very intense track that seems to create a huge amount of energy, brilliant.
