It’s been almost a year since we last saw Rishi K. over at Green Martian HQ and we are delighted to see he is back with another plunder in his progressive house world. His latest two tracker Black Ice is the long awaited follow up to Inflection Point from November 2013 and we have no doubt this latest offering will be just as stunning.
First up we have the title track Black Ice that sets off with very cool and classic styled punchy kick and hat combo. Smooth housey chord stabs ease their way into the sound alongside a colourful vocal sample. We get right into the track proper after a smooth rising pad transition takes us to the upbeat bassline that dominates the sound so well. The break reveals a smooth piano sequence before a massive kick roll thrusts us back into the main groove for the duration. A hugely impressive slice of prog house that is a definite must have.
Falling awake intros with a cool punchy kick and offset hat combo as various percussions layer up on top. A very cool synth riff comes in early on alongside some vocal FX before we get a taste of the powerful bassline. The bassline will get asses shakin on the floors as it delivers its groovy workout. Subtle piano sequences filter through and marry well with the synth arps which bring a melodic flavour. Top notch stuff from Rishi and a track you will not want to miss.

Rishi K. makes a return to Green Martian with the superb two tracker “Inflection Point”. His last outing was back in May with the superb “Always Home” along with many other remixes.
“Inflection Point” sets us off in a cool house driven groove with warm synths and chunky kicks providing the intro. Fantastic vocals and melodic arps lead us into a full on house joint with the bassline taking centre stage. Very tight arrangements take us on a wonderful journey with sharp piano riffs coming through. The break is beautifully sublime and delivers a great build up back into a full on groovy house cut. Big tune here and one that is sure to be on a lot of playlists.
“Star People” goes for the jugular with a full on hypnotic vibe through the myriad of arps and rhythmic percussions. The kicks drop into a deeper side with a wonderful array of FX filling up the sound. The track continues to build relentlessly as big synths make a show alongside some spoken vocal samples. A truly sublime cut that will captivate and force you back for more!

Rishi K. is back with another round of top notch progressive vibes. Since his “White Crane” release Rishi has been busy in the remix department for labels like AK-Tek Records and Bonzai Progressive. Here we have his latest works, the two tracker “Always Home”.
The title track gives off a smooth progressive house vibe from the intro, the rhythm builds nicely with cool open hats and synths before power from the bassline and chunky kicks take you in its grasp. The bassline is a huge focus here as it weaves its way through note changes perfectly, on top of that is some nifty synth work and a real cool retro vocal sample which adds flavour. The break filters out and comes back with a bang into this awesome driving groove.
“Going Viral” takes us deeper with a superb progressive house groove. Smooth intro with a subtle kick and pad with some synth keys coming through. The offset bassline sets up the track for the duration with its deep, lush trimmings and things come together brilliantly. On the break an arp courses through the sound wrapping this up perfectly, top quality stuff.
