Konstantin is back and here he joins forces with Jey Fever to deliver a superb cut on Basiks. Konstantin has been busy on remix duties this past while and has also made an appearance on Bonzai’s “Eyepatched Volume 3″ vinyl. Israeli Jenia Shteingart aka Jey Fever makes his debut on Basiks in this release. He spent a while crafting his own unique sound and has had releases on labels like Rip n Burn, AK-Tek Records and System Recordings.
The original mix of wreaks of deep tech from the off with a filtered kick and tight hat combo taking us up to a superb deep and tough bass. The sound builds layer by layer with percussions and FX adding depth, gritty synths follow alongside a vocal and on the break we get a sweeping synth and a lot of added extras before the track explodes back into a raw groove, stunning!
The highly skilled Belgian DJ and producer Van Czar steps up to remix duties with his Hypnotechnique Remix. Van turns up the heat here with a truly sublime effort, the bass along with a very rhythmic percussion section will surely hypnotize your mind. On the break an intense pad beefs up the sound and we are also treated to Van’s expert FX work. After the drop we kick back to the main groove with a blast and the chance to lose yourself for a time, amazing stuff!
Belfast’s own, the Brisboys aka John Manning and Ciaran Duffy, are back with more brilliant house grooves for our pleasure with their remix. Deep down and funky would best describe this superb remix, phat beats are contrasted with crisp percussions and deep, cool house chords that evoke retro memories. Classic style hook on the break and great use of the vocal round of an awesome track.

Four top class tunes with tracks and remixes from some of the best artists Eyepatch has to offer. A must have for any vinyl junkie and your decks are gonna love it!
First up we journey into the sounds of “Backstage Queen” from Dimitry Liss & Nasrawi, both these guys have appeared on this series before and we just had to get them back again. This track is a deep house groove that grabs you and holds you in its grip for the duration. Sublime deep bass and a well crafted arrangement are held together with a quite brilliant vocal sequence throughout the track.
Daniele Kama’s remix of Wonji’s “Convince Me” is up next with a more tribal feel, lots of bongos doing the rounds and the vocal takes control when in effect. A deep bassline commands throughout and on the break some classic samples are evident, perfect fodder for vinyl and already a firm favourite on the circuit.
The awesome talents of Dimitry Liss gives us his Re-Rub of Project KF’s “Priority Of Night”, and taking things to a deeper level. Cool sharp hats accompanied with a tight kick set up a solid groove. The sounds are arranged brilliantly with a few added vocal samples thrown in, monster tune for any floor.
Crocy’s “Bouquet” carves out a cool groove with a laidback approach to deep tech house. Subtle intro with percussions building the rhythm and the bass shining through for an awesome ride. On the break funky keys make an appearance changing the landscape slightly and then straight back to a solid deep groove, top stuff.

Fresh off the back of the stunning reworking on “Blue Monday”, Project KF aka Konstantin returns with another fine tech groover. “Priority Of Night” comes with 2 superb remixes and a radio edit.
The original is an example of what Konstantin does best, pure quality vibes throughout. Nice steady rhythm created with tight kicks and well arranged percs, the Holy Grail on this is his ability to apply a retro sound with modern tech, super stuff yet again!
The awesome talents of Dimitry Liss gives us the first remix, Dimitry’s Re-Dub takes things to a deeper level. Cool sharp hats accompanied with a tight kick set up a solid groove. The use of the original sounds are arranged brilliantly with a few added vocal samples thrown in, this one is destined for a lot of support.
The equally impressive Daniel Ray steps up next, again we see the original vibe applied extremely well. Much more housey approach with a funky undertone coming through on the synth work. Real cool bouncing rhythm here and a floor filler for sure.
