Melbourne based Narel aka Nick Simmons marks his debut on LCD with a stunning slice of trance goodness with “The Machines Were Dreaming” and backed up with a remix from the master himself, Airwave. Nick is a veteran on the EDM scene with releases on some classic labels and remixing for top artists over many years and with projects like this we are sure to see a lot more in the future.
The original mix gets things started with a nice thumpy bass over some beautiful sweeping pads and melodic synth. A steady solid groove builds with a bit more punch on the kicks and a strong deep bass giving lots of depth. On the main break a whole world of melodies explodes with some jaw dropping synth work, this gives an uplifting feel and will have any floor moving, this is something special!
On remix duties is none other than Airwave, quite simply, a legend. Here he applies his skills in style as he always does. Nice and smooth intro on the pads and then straight into a full on kick that builds to a superb grooving bassline. Expertly crafted percussions give off a flowing rhythm with strings adding layers and then on to a stunning break where we see melodies applied brilliantly in a huge cinematic setting. Once again Laurent shows us his true scope in creating a full on trance experience.
A little extra from Narel with an Ambient mix, all the melodies from the original given to us for total relaxation purposes and what a great job it does, wonderful!
Olivier Decroix aka A Robot Comes To Her is a young and fresh musician from Saint-Etienne, France, where he composes a terrific blend of psy-trance and progressive. He already has a bunch of great tracks on the way. We immediately fell in Love with Tree House, so much that we wanted to share it with you all. On the « flip-side » comes Multiple Gods, another face of the promising youngster, proving again that the Psy scene is full of rising stars. We bet you will fall in Love too !
There it is!! The Very First Full Length Compilation on The LCD Recordings Imprint created by Airwave and John 00 Fleming. Taken off Airwave’s Hit Album “Dark Lines”, this Brand New Single takes you on a serious Journey. Coming in 3 flavors this time. The Alternative Mix sends us back to the 90’s sound when everything was so simple and just great, Terra Ferma’s remix, made by Platipus Legens Kaukuta Saint, is another kind of beast, psychedelic and hypnotic, miles beyond what mainstream “Trance” has to offer today, and finally the Original Mix, taken off Dark Lines, closes another great selection of mixes.
LCD Recordings is proud to present you its personal Selections of the Finest in Progressive (and psychedelic) Trance and House, featuring legendary artists alongside with very promising talents emerging recently. A good mix of Past and Present. One thing matters here: Quality. This Time we’re digging deeper into quality material from the past and offer you great stuff from legendary Artists such as Derek Howell, Gwill Morris, Infusion, and Sleepfreaks. A must have!
An Improbable couple as the name of an unexpected collaboration between Airwave and Nico Parisi.
DJ and Producer Nico Parisi has been active for about 20 years in Belgium’s finest clubs and venues, and is running his own label Danza Records.
Together they offer us an incredible piece of music that will for sure send you to space.
On the flip, don’t miss Nico’s remix for the housey-oriented dj’s.
Taken of Airwave’s highly anticipated 5th artist album, don’t miss this high-level banger!
God, this is one hell of a cracker!
Cathedrals Of Hope is an outstanding piece of music. Credible, Strong, with an Attitude.
Reset marks Airwave’s return to heavier sounds for a trancer that’s larger than life.
And Last But Not Least: a Brand New Version of his last Smasher Atlas Winds, this time featuring great vocals by Francesca Genco. Should justify its presence into every actual dj’s recordbox for the next months to come.
