Fresh and talentful Matt Holliday from England is back on LCD and how! Dear Lorraine is a pure smasher for every progressive and trance fan. To make it complete on the “flip side”, Lost In Translation is for us as good. Put simply the genius of this man seems to know no boundaries. Set to rock your progressive dance floor, courtesy of Matt!
Third Single of Olivier Decroix aka A Robot Comes To Her on the LCD Recordings label, and for us one of the better singles from him. A Deeper Blue adds this Dancefloor bionic dimension to the artist’s style while The Day She Was A Hill is a perfect match to complete the package. Psy-progressive at its best!
Julio Tomé aka Blister 13.0 is a fresh Psy-Progressive Talent coming from the Barcelona Area. This first EP of his on LCD Recordings immediately captivated us, Anai Arreba being the banger of the three, Besos Mullidos being the trippy one while Retornos is the melodic tune of this awesome package. Unique is the most suitable adjective here. Keep an eye on Blister 13.0 because he’s well worth it.
When US based artist Daniel Nusdeo aka Sedna handed us Decay, we immediately jumped on the occasion. What we discovered is one of the freshest talents in Progressive House Anno 2014. Airwave himself hammering it a lot lately says enough, this one is tailored dark and deep Progressive House. Craftsmanship of the genre at its best. Welcome Sedna, LCD Recordings is proud to Welcome Decay and Finding Infinity as two of its Bangers of 2014. Literally…
Belgian and French Duo DB Movement deliver a breath of Fresh Air with this release. We were looking hard for this kind of music and couldn’t believe our ears when French DJ Phi-Phi handed us these tracks he made with Belgian Legendary Stephane Akenan (aka Steff Garner). Progressive House and Trance freaks, This is music for your dancefloor. Music that should be praised. Evidence is probably the freshest tune we had heard in years, and Rotation sounds just as good. Get prepared, because this will bring you back to the real sound of Progressive House.
French Resident A Robot Comes To Her is back on LCD, and how! This new EP of his shows how great he can be at making unpredictable structures and mesmerizing journeys through deep psy progressive music. Little Folk is the more dancefloor friendly track, but Gecko is definitely a winner too. Once again an amazing package delivered by an amazingly talented musician.
The boomerang effect! See Airwave hit once, then BOOM he strikes back unexpectedly.
Remember when Airwave was about the perfect blend of progressive house and trance without a single trace of fluffy elements? Yes, THAT period. Escape From Nowhere, Alone in The Dark, Innerspace… Laurent made those tracks that combine his newer sounds with those banging elements from the past and… We can guarantee you a major reaction on “The Wrath Of Tambora”. No less than that. A major release again, and a true turning point in the man’s career, only a few months after his major album “Parallel Lines”.
Melbourne based Narel aka Nick Simmons marks his debut on LCD with a stunning slice of trance goodness with “The Machines Were Dreaming” and backed up with a remix from the master himself, Airwave. Nick is a veteran on the EDM scene with releases on some classic labels and remixing for top artists over many years and with projects like this we are sure to see a lot more in the future.
The original mix gets things started with a nice thumpy bass over some beautiful sweeping pads and melodic synth. A steady solid groove builds with a bit more punch on the kicks and a strong deep bass giving lots of depth. On the main break a whole world of melodies explodes with some jaw dropping synth work, this gives an uplifting feel and will have any floor moving, this is something special!
On remix duties is none other than Airwave, quite simply, a legend. Here he applies his skills in style as he always does. Nice and smooth intro on the pads and then straight into a full on kick that builds to a superb grooving bassline. Expertly crafted percussions give off a flowing rhythm with strings adding layers and then on to a stunning break where we see melodies applied brilliantly in a huge cinematic setting. Once again Laurent shows us his true scope in creating a full on trance experience.
A little extra from Narel with an Ambient mix, all the melodies from the original given to us for total relaxation purposes and what a great job it does, wonderful!
Olivier Decroix aka A Robot Comes To Her is a young and fresh musician from Saint-Etienne, France, where he composes a terrific blend of psy-trance and progressive. He already has a bunch of great tracks on the way. We immediately fell in Love with Tree House, so much that we wanted to share it with you all. On the « flip-side » comes Multiple Gods, another face of the promising youngster, proving again that the Psy scene is full of rising stars. We bet you will fall in Love too !
