Fresh from his last release on Bonzai Progressive “Droop Live” with producing partner Manzano, Pablo Santana ventures solo on Howz Choons with “The Rose”. An eclectic deep tech house joint that is sure to please a lot of heads.
The title track kicks us off with a cool steady 4/4 groove building up to a wild ride on the ethnic highway. Awesome Sitar type melodic rhythms dominate, a spine tingling vocal provides an epic feel. The break on this is a huge sound with brilliantly crafted melodies, big tune here.
“Cool” takes a retro turn with a recognisable synth pattern over some great drums and percussions, thick grungy distorted piano comes into the mix on the break and kicks back in with a solid grooving house vibe. Very impressive outing for Santana and one which will be right at home in the clubs!
UK based DJ/producer Malcolm Charles joins the rosta at Howz Choonz with a big house party release full of retro surprises.
Hailing from Manchester Malcolm was around at the heyday of the Hacienda and the burgeoning English club scene, Malcolm also held a 12 year residency at the famous Wigan Pier playing alongside the likes of Stu Allen, Pete Tong and many more. Having served at Miss Moneypennys in the UK and Ibiza he moved on to become a huge name in the Canadian dance scene. With many releases to his name we now get treated to a 2 track house banger.
Get Up is a pure driving house rhythm with a cool “get up” vocal throughtout, if “you can feel it” then you will recognise the retro sample used in this proper gritty awesome tune.
Carl Price is an established music producer with releases on the Mint & Mustard imprint, based in the UK Carl provides a superb remix for Get Up with the focus on that sublime lead synth we all know and love.

For the last 13 years, Rishi has been extremely passionate about electronic music in one form or another. Since moving to San Francisco 2 years ago he has DJ’d at several venues such as Supperclub, Apartment 24, and Project One as well as hosted his own event brining some of the hottest Bay Area trance DJs together.
Although still relatively new to the electronic music scene, Rishi has put in hundreds of hours behind the decks already, recording his weekly mixes in multiple genres which can be accessed at www.djrish.podomatic.com.
Rishi is a versatile and stylish DJ, and plays many different genres including tribal, house, progressive house and trance. His love for each of these genres is equal.
He has recently begun producing music and has been working feverishly over the last few months on many different styles. At 14 Ecco discovered Electronic Music with the New Beat and the belgian clubs. He developed an ever-growing passion for this music until age 20 when he decided to buy his turntables and mix-table. He is interested in different styles such as techno, Tech House, Minimal and House music.
Very soon he had the opportunity to play abroad (Thailand, Ibiza, …) and in Belgium (Silo, Decadance, Cherry Moon, Fuse, …).
2004-2005 sees the organization of events such as United-Elektro parties, Kiss my Beat or Acid or Not parties. Since 2008 he makes his own music and starts his net label (KMB REC).
In its beginning draft Kids of Hashish is obliged to the sea of emotions, some knowledge of sound-production and a heap of adventure! Taking all this as a base, adding a few drops of the soul, a bit of minimalism and permeates the mood of trance – we get an unusual cocktail. Cocktail for the most sophisticated.
