Daniel returns to Eyepatch with this deep melancholic two tracker entitled A Numbers Game. His last outing was way back in March with Water Tunnel on Eyepatched Volume 4 and no doubt we will be in for a real treat yet again.
First up is the title track A Numbers Game which intros with some beautifully crafted deep bass synths that give off a true analogue vibe. Tight drum arrangements provide for a steady flowing rhythm that works perfectly with the melancholic nature of the tune. A much deeper almost growling bass seeps up from below and keeps the deep groove alive. The break descends into almost silence in parts which really draws you in forcing deep thoughts. Very nice arrangement that will be a hit among the deeper fraternity.
Mr Morning takes on a slightly brighter persona as beautifully plucked keys and a smooth muted kick make up the intro. Nice and crisp hats and claps soon follow striking up a steady rhythm and paving the way for a fantastic and powerful deep bass groove. A superb arrangement of bright and dark tones that blend together in perfect harmony, definitely one to check out.

Darouge shows up on Eyepatch with his superb two tracker Deep. Music. which delivers exactly what it says, pure and deep grooves. His last offering was over at Bonzai Basiks earlier this year with Bite The Curb. This guy knows how to get the floors pumping so sit back and enjoy this trek into the deeper side of house.
Deep. Music gets the blood pumping with its pulsing basses and a brilliant chunky kick combi. Subtle percussions provide a solid rhythm and sit perfectly in the sound. Cool deep house stabs bring a classic feeling which is the real heart of this track. The layers build brilliantly with various chord structures blending well with the addition of some very cool deep spoken vocals. The break throws up a bright melodic sequence which works very well with the deeper nature of the vibe. An absolute stomper that will get bodies moving no doubt.
Persuasion is up next and intros with a nice crispy hat and a fantastic low end kick that hits you right in the mid section. Layers begin to form up with the addition of a cool bass that comes from deep within and contrasting brighter synth hits. Nice and smooth solid rhythms keep the track flowing beautifully and on the break those brighter elements shine through and are joined by cool vocal samples. A wonderful listening experience you will not want to miss.
Casualtees debuts on Eyepatch with this fantastic four tracker, Sirens EP.
First up we have Sirens with its sophisticated deep house strain manifested in nice chunky kicks and crispy hats to the backdrop of tight percussions. A smooth deep chord runs through the sound, ebbing and flowing with a teasing gesture. Layers build beautifully as varying textures add character. The bass comes through in various forms creating a solid groove making this a true deep house mover.
Smash The Cricket takes the groove deeper with a sublime display. Punchy kicks and rhythmic percussions will have the floors moving no doubt. Spacey synths combine with expertly crafted FX setting the tone beautifully as this super tight production weaves its magic. A surreal collection of sounds that will get any party rocking.
It’s Done intros with a cool muted kick and crispy hat combi as other percussions fade through. The kicks transform into deep pounding hits alongside a super low bass that reverberated through the sound. Smooth rhythms form up as we are led into a world of deep tech grooves with a big focus on the bass which is where the punch comes from. A definite must for those darker sets.
Nite Nite sets off with a classic kick and hat intro and gives the track a nice bounce. Deep throbbing basses soon take control as the groove ramps up a notch and brings a true deep tech vibe. Tightly arranged percussions give off a cool steady rhythm as you find yourself locked squarely into this groove. Tough and raw sounding vibes that will be turning a few heads all over.
Debut appearance on Eyepatch for A & I with the superb four track Gems EP.
Opal sets off with a distant thunder effect that leads up to a warm and full kick and is soon followed by some cool percussions. Deep rooted and lush synth chords give a real depth to the groove as a grittier sub bass comes through. The break reveals a myriad of high strings that contrast beautifully with the deep vibe of the track and take us back into the main sound. Smooth deep house grooves for the late night parties and into the early morning.
Next up we have Amazonite with its sweetly melodic intro full of bright keys and arps. Beautifully crafted stabs join in and create a surreal atmosphere before percussions begin to get the rhythms flowing. The track holds its course and you find yourself wanting more and more as the layers are formed up and stripped back. Brilliant slice of deep chill that will set the scene perfectly for any set.
Jasper Red intros with a nice punchy kick and a cool mixture of different percussions that blend together beautifully. A deep, plucky bass gets the deep grooves going as a wonderful pad sweeps right through the sound. The bass and pads develop some very cool melodic phrases that make this an absolute pleasure to hear. On the break a superb chord comes through taking the track to a whole new level. Deep, laidback and groovy sounds for the late terrace parties.
Lastly on this superb EP we have Hematite Dub. Subtle percussions provide the intro and is joined by a soft pad that hovers in the air beautifully. A very cool dub styled stab gives off a reggae vibe alongside a deep plucky bass that reverberates through the sound wonderfully. Cool beats give that downtempo feel that can be enjoyed on lazy days or at the club. Classy stuff that is not to be missed.
It’s been a while since we seen the impressive Solartoff at Eyepatch. His last outing ‘They Love Me’ saw great support from the promo pool and beyond. This time around we are treated to the deep treats of ‘Splash Chord’ which also comes backed up with a wonderful remix.
The Original Mix intros with a super chunky kick and classic electro styled percs. Drum layers build steadily into a smooth rhythmic vibe complete with cool vocal samples. Hard edged deep house chord stabs soon join the party as the bassline starts to dominate with its groovy delights. The break lets loose with those classy stabs and a fantastic vocal filled with soulful vibes which contain a classic retro theme. Big track for those terrace evenings on the beach and a definite must have.
DJ and producer Aphreme makes his Eyepatch remix debut with his superb Classic Remix. Big old school flavours are pouring out of this one as that brilliant vocal will attest. Nice tight drum arrangements give off that classic garage vibe which is only enhanced by those deep organ and piano chords. This track is not to be missed and will no doubt feature in many playlists this summer and beyond.
French producer P.A.M.O debuts on Eyepatch with this stunning two tracker entitled ‘The Lost Thing’.
‘The Lost Thing’ intros with a smooth deep chord and a soulful vocal backed up with some cool and crispy hats and claps. The percussions bring forth a steady rhythm and are enhanced with the addition of some tight skinned drum patterns. The vocal samples come flooding in as the sound evolves, funky screams and soulful one
shots are the perfect addition to the evolving grooves. A very cool upbeat track that is a must for any box.
‘Encore’ sets off with a rolling drum sequence filled with punchy kicks and big toms that are joined by sharp open hats and give off a very smooth rhythmic vibe. A deep droning bass dominates the sound soon after and is joined by a silky smooth deep house chord sequence. Contrasting high pitched strings come through alongside short vocal samples creating a sublime deep groove that will definitely turn heads for sure.
Italian DJ and producer Phatool aka Batty debuts on Eyepatch with a classy four tracker entitled ‘I Am Phatool’. This young DJ, producer and resident of Hund Underground Music Movement Vicenza started to DJ in 2006. After a few years experimenting with different styles he settled into techno and deep house music. He has played all over Europe in places like Barrakud Festival (Croatia and Hungary), Alter Ego (Vr), La Plage (Ve), People Club (Vi), Gilda Club (Vi) with lots of artists including Paul Kalkbrenner, Nina Kravitz, Apparell, Dragosh, Marco Faraone, Cassy, Ralf, Unzip Project, Marc Houle, Hobo and more. Besides playing music, he has worked as sound engineer while starting to produce some techno and deep house tracks.
First up we have ‘I Am Phatool’ which gets going with a cool thumping kick and sharp, contrasting hats. Rhythmic percussion patterns begin to form up and create a solid base for the grooves. A nice deep bass comes through alongside some filtered deep house keys and vocal samples. A real groovy mover her that is not to be missed.
‘J Oooh’ is up next and gets right into a classic chunky kick and hat intro with cool atmospheric samples blending in nicely in the background. The bass pulses into existence early and transforms throughout. All the while we are teased with house keys that have a heavily layered deep vibe. Silky smooth grooves are on offer here and this will do well at those summer parties no doubt.
‘Patience’ intros with a cool percussion arrangement that soon lets loose a monster kick that totally dominates. Distant sounding urban vocal samples create a surreal picture as the bass thunders through the sound alongside some very cool chords. The track packs a nice punch and is sure to feature in many sets.
Lastly on this fantastic debut EP we have ‘Tigre’. The track kicks off with minimal effort as cool percussions begin to layer up before a massive kick and bass combo takes the lead. The deep house vibes ooze out of the sound beautifully and the chords provide a real tough and stabby edge. Superb stuff and definitely one to watch.
Tali Freaks is back with the wonderful ‘Set The Sun’. This track comes in two flavours which are sure to grace many sets this coming summer. We last saw Tali Freaks deliver a strong deep fuelled remix on Tirrenia Vibe’s ‘Night Falls’ which was very well received.
First up we have the Original Mix that gets right into a groovy deep vibe from the off as pounding kicks are met with a classy and funky bass that teases and teases. Cool flowing rhythms are formed out of a simple yet highly effective percussion arrangement. Smooth and delicate pads offer a true taste of deep house and these are complimented beautifully with some funky key work. A big focus here is the bass, it’s a definite ass shaker as the floors will attest very soon.
Next up we have the Stradivarius Re Edit which comes at us with a pure deep house driven vibe. That funky bassline is superb as it bubbles along on its groovy path. Very cool drum patterns provide a solid rhythmic base for the track as it takes control of the floor. The break offers a cool insight to the bass as it constantly evolves alongside soft pads. Look out for those funky keys, they will get you moving in no time, a must have for any set.
We like to see Johnny deliver the goods to the Eyepatch office because every time he does we are always blown away. Down The Road offers three superb cuts in true Johnny Deep style. His last outing New Era EP was very well received as no doubt this one will be also.
First up we have Down The Road with its glitchy intro coupled with a pulsing bass tone and slowly building percussions. A very cool kick gives the track a laid-back feel as an equally cool vocal sample delivers its message. The groove has a nice shuffle as it varies its signature effortlessly and keeps this track firmly in the deep tech spectrum. A subtle bass meanders through as the drum arrangement is constructed. The break takes us through a surreal world that combines many sounds and in particular a fairground type organ which is a nice little twist in the vibe, excellent stuff yet again!
I Do, Tekno Version, intros with a very cool vibe as a punchy kick is met with some superb percussion arrangements. Cool FX takes us to the next level as an offset bass is joined by snappy vocal samples and more of that fantastic drum section. The track really gets going when those synth stabs do their work as every ounce of tech is squeezed out of the sound, top notch stuff!
Rounding off this stunning pack we have Soulvation which is remixed by High M Vectro who is a wonderfully dynamic producer having turned his hands to many genres. The track intros with a brilliant kick and bass combo along with classic snares on the downbeat, very punchy with a somewhat upbeat vibe. Vocal samples sweep by and are joined by subtle FX here and there. The bass soon becomes hypnotic as the track shuffles along with a very cool mixture of synth stabs coming through. A fantastic track that will be a must for any set!
Italian DJ and producer Daniele Breschi debuts on Eyepatch with this deep two tracker entitled Don’t Forget Me. Daniele got into music from an early age when he started to listen to all forms of house music and beyond. DJs like the legendary Sven Vaeth grabbed his attention and urged him to start DJing himself. Soon after he turned his hand at producing and saw his first release on Two Rooms Records.
First we have Don’t Forget Me with its groovy intro that boasts a full on drum section and sub bass combo. Slick rhythms are formed beautifully here and you will find yourself dancing very quickly. Cool house chords are met with high strings and these take control on the break accompanied by a classy vocal. Nicely constructed tune that will be a welcome addition in any set.
Projects! gets flowing with a bass led intro and some very cool percussion arrangement. The bass has a superb buzzing effect that intensifies the sound brilliantly. Deep grooves ensue as a rap vocal comes in over the top adding great character with its urban narration. Big phat beats are a big focus here and really give the track a powerful lift. Brilliant stuff from Daniele and a definite must in those boxes.

We last saw Van on Eyepatch way back in mid 2013 with his ‘Mon Reve EP’. Since then he has released many other works on Bonzai Basiks as well as hosting Bonzai Basik Beat Spain and DJing regularly in Madrid. This time around we have ‘Jean Tonique’ which comes with three stunning remixes.
First up is the Original Mix, the intro eases in with subtle hats and a distant pad that leads to a cool kick. The percussions form up creating a smooth rhythmic vibe and takes us deep into the sound with a brilliant, surreal continuous chord dominating throughout. A super low sub bass reverberates through the sound providing a solid footing as a brilliantly tweaked vocal sample plays through. Superb deep grooves from Van which will be a popular choice no doubt.
Belgian legend Eric Powa B steps up to remix duties with his Deep n Dark Reconstruction Mix. Right from the off we are thrust into Eric’s deep tech world with a super cool kick and deep pulsating bass combo. One thing that stands out here is the precision in the percussion arrangement, tight patterns and classic sounds give off a brilliant vibe with a superb vocal sample that adds character to the track. The break gives up a smooth chord with sharp brass stabs before getting back into the groove with some classic toms. Very classy sound that will do well in any set.
Ittai Barkai ramps things up a gear with his remix. Classic intro with chunky kicks and crispy hats alongside cool rhythmic bongos. A very smooth vocal sample leads nicely into a lush chord as a brilliant offset bass drops in. A truly infectious groove ensues as you get locked into this sound helped along by those cool vocal samples and lush chords. Superb stuff from Ittai and definitely not to be missed.
Lastly in this pack we have Darouge on the remix. Darouge’s last outing ‘Bite The Curb’ saw much support and features on top download sites. The remix intros with a cool kick and hat combo which sets up the track nicely. The bass teases its way in as it hits every other bar before going into full on mode with its gritty edge. Cool vocal samples are met with smooth synth plucks that lead us into a percussion driven break before that bass takes charge once more. Great stuff yet again and a must have track in any playlist.
The pursuit of the vinyl revolution continues as Bonzai stay true to their roots and deliver yet another fine slice of wax. Eyepatched Volume 4 follows on from its predecessors with four supreme cuts filled with all the delights of deep fuelled house.
The master of cool Dimitry Liss gets right into the action with his track ‘Gentle Elton’. Perfectly matched kicks and hats provide a solid base for the flowing rhythms as the bassline cuts through the sound beautifully with a groovy flavour. This is backed up with a soul shaking vocal that will get the toes tapping in no time.
The increasingly popular Yaroslav Lenzyak gives us two superb tracks starting with ‘Jupiter’, a wonderfully lush and surreal deep cut. Nice and simple hats alongside a minimal percussion arrangement that adds a lot of character. A low end droning bass shores up the groove while the big focus is on an awesome array of synth sounds that blend together superbly.
On the flip side Yaroslav treats us to an exclusive for this vinyl release with ‘UTZ’. Very cool and classic sounding drum intro eases beautifully into a smooth deep house vibe. The bassline packs a huge punch as it pulsates through the sound while a nice flowing groove is built. An epic endeavour with beautifully melodic twists that are not to be missed.
The impressive Daniel Ray give us his track ‘Water Tunnel’ with its gritty intro made up of cool percs and a thumpy kick. Raw sounding FX start to take over the sound as a stunning bassline builds the momentum. A wonderful mixture of deep piano chords, strings and guitars add a stunning dynamic and makes this a joy to listen to.
