New concept compilation from Piston Recordings.
Collected Works reflects the last year of Piston Recordings with some of the most influential tracks released in the labels catalog, including tracks from Efron, Accatone, Villa Gombao Inc., Lights Electronika, Charlez Ramirez, Rodrigo Soria, David Ekenback, and Rob Small.
All of this tracks have had feedback support and plays from top DJ’s like Laurent Garnier, Joris Voorn, Alex Flatner, Anthony Pappa, Toni Rios, Hector Couto, Nils Nuernberg, Sasch BBC, DJ Sneak, Nic Fanciulli, Danny Serrano, Bloody Mary, Mihai Popoviciu, Chaim, SIS, Aitor El Txef A, Iván Ramos Coyu, UNER, Felix Feygin, Garcy Noise, Paul Hazendonk, Slam and many others.
In fact, the Mute: Remix of Rob Small – Bad Wednesday that we include in this compilation, was picked by Maya Jane Coles for her debut at Radio 1 Essential Mix.

EPISODE 40: Fab Code – The Glitch (Mint & Mustard Recordings)
At an early age Fab was bewitched by music. It was around 6 years of age that he was attracted by the sounds of soul, funk and later disco, funky, new-wave playing from his parents jukebox. Rocked to the sounds of Tamla Motown, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Barry White, KC & The Sunshine Band and later Kraftwerk, Human League, Depeche Mode and many others, he built up a strong and diverse music background dominated by rhythm and groove.
With a DJ career spanning from the early 80´s up until now, it was at the end of 2009, Fab decided to move and settle in the United Kingdom !
Freshly landed in Manchester, his new home, he went back to work and returned to the recording studio to relaunch his career as a producer / composer. He released his first tracks in 2010 on Belgian label Kiss My Beat Records (KMB) and has now signed with Bonzai Music to release some material on Bonzai Progressive, Bonzai Basiks and Mint & Mustard labels.
The artist has had support from various DJ´s, such as:
Slam, Nic Fanciulli, Moussa Clarke, Wyndell Long, James Grindle, Graham Gold amongst others.
EPISODE 41: Charles Ramirez – Sundays In The Shade (Piston Recordings)
Piston Recordings welcomes Charles Ramirez back to the family after a well received remix in 2010, now with two original tracks, Sundays In The Shade and Poison In My Leg.
Being the resident DJ of one of the biggest clubs in Spain, Txitxarro, and already with licensed tracks to high profile compilations like Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself, this is one highly expected release in our catalog.
On top of that we got Piek and the label head honcho Rogerio Martins on remix duties.
Worth to mention the work Piek has been doing lately with releases in various labels like Diynamic, Sphera, Einmusika and licensed tracks on CR2 and Fabric compilations!

EPISODE 42: Kevin Cheung – Push (Bonzai Basiks)
Despite being born into a conservative Chinese family, Kevin Cheung defied all rules and expectations and from a young age set on the path to become a serious player in electronic music, embarking on a 10 year journey to hone his art into the weapon it is today.
Debuting in the city of Hong Kong, Kevin subsequently travelled to the UK to learn the art of production and DJing, after completing a degree in audio engineering at OIART, Kevin moved to the capital of Canada’s nightlife to take his music to the next level. He quickly established himself as a serious player, earning his first weekly residency alongside DJ Mark Oliver. Opening and closing weekly for Mark with 3 hour sets, Kevin Cheung had the opportunity to hone his art to perfection alongside one of Toronto’s most influential DJs.
Building on this success, Kevin landed several residencies in Toronto and in 2010 began collaborating with other upcoming producers. Kevin also works as sound designer and editor for the Ontario Arts Council which funded a documentary on the house music scene, the Toronto Sounds Project.
This release comes with the original mix plus three remixes from Markus Ilgner, Gr-oy and Adrian S featuring Yisell Sanchez.
