Matan’s newest release Dangerous Change features the vocal talents of Mykle Anthony and comes backed up with two stunning remixes. His last outing Just Let Go featured heavily on download portals and playlists alike and no doubt we are in for a real treat with this latest offering.
The Original Mix gets us going in a full on progressive flow as the intro eases in with cool kicks and sweeping pads. The kicks gets buffed up with a punch and is joined by a deep bubbling bass giving a dancey vibe to the sound. The vocals begin to filter through with little one shots that set the scene for Mykle to showcase his wonderful talent. Deep and thoughtful lyrics are the perfect companion to this sound and are further enhanced with a brilliant melodic sequence on the break. Floorfilling stuff yet again from Matan and not to be missed.
Nico Parisi gives us his Deep Sofa Remix and delivers an absolute stunner. Nico has recently released a few gems that have gotten huge support from many quarters and currently has plenty more in the works. He is a constant presence at big events around Belgium and will feature on Bonzai’s stage at Tomorrowland 2014. The remix intros with a nice chunky kick and a round of soulful vocal shots that set the pace brilliantly. The bass sits back while packing a punch alongside some cool synths and a gritty riff that sweeps by. The track mesmerizes as it takes us to the break where the vocal comes to the fore and the synths become more prominent before settling back into this deep and lush progressive groove. Great stuff.
Davide Catania turns up at the remix desk with his pumping take on the original. We last saw Davide on his Desert Sky release on Green Martian and more recently on AnLight’s track No Advance. Here Davide raises the bar as he gets right into a full on progressive stomper. Phat kicks and cool percussions are laden with subtle downward arps as a swirling synth pad fades through with the amazing vocal on top. The bassline soon takes control as it powers through the sound beautifully giving off that strong prog vibe we love. The vocals are just stunning and blend seamlessly alongside the piano riffs. The break offers up a cool sax riff that really sets the track off and works so well with the piano and vocal. One to watch here and will no doubt be the choice of many.

Stardust is the newest single from Steve Sai. We last saw Steve with his hugely impressive White Fluffy Clouds back at the end of 2013 and then shortly after with his remix on Crocy’s – Cry. Stardust comes with the Original plus four top quality remixes from some of the hottest artists on the Bonzai books.
The Original Mix oozes deep progressive grooves right from the off as cool punchy kicks are set against a brilliant pulsating bassline. Perfectly placed sub bass shots enhance the sound beautifully with various other synths layered on top resulting in a pumping groove. Steady flowing rhythms are formed out of tight drum and percussion patterns that give the track that driving surge. The break reveals some cool distant arps alongside dark edged pads. The big hitter comes in the shape of melancholic pianos that keep the track well within its progressive sphere. Superb stuff yet again from Steve, not to be missed.
Fresh off the back of his last release Big and Small EP, Belgian DJ and producer Ben Solar is up first to remix duty. The intro boasts nice chunky kicks that are soon joined by crispy sharp hats and cool synth shots. A deep rolling bassline bubbles up from below and takes us by surprise as the full power of its thump is unleashed. Layers build smoothly with the addition of metallic sounding FX that adds stark contrast to the deeper edge of the sound. Strong and driving track that will be a big player in any of the deeper sets.
DJing and production duo Jon ManimaL & Magros aka metrONomes take a break from sister label Progrez and deliver a stripped down smooth ride through deep progressive sounds with their superb Hypnotic Remix. The percussive led intro sets the scene perfectly as flat kicks are joined by various percussions and atmospheric FX. The kicks develop a punch and the groove gets into full swing as the bassline begins to form up into a real groovy mover. A dark and long drawn out bass drone hypnotises alongside those stark piano riffs that give a surreal melancholic feel to the sound. Brilliant stuff from the guys, top notch.
Athens based DJ and producer John Tsamis is welcomed at Bonzai with his brilliant remix. John began DJing in Athens at small parties with his friends which led to playing bigger events with top names. In 2005 he got his own residency at Stereo before moving on to the bigger Luv Club. 2014 saw his first releases on Baboon Recordings with much more to come. The track intros with sharp hats and a long released kick that has a smooth bass edge. Percussions build nicely and provide a solid rhythm for the track to progress. Quirky vocal one shots peek through on the first break as a riser brings with it a thumping kick and a super low end bass that reverberates through the sound wonderfully. The main break unleashes a melancholic piano riff that adds a cool twist and so much character to the track. Great stuff.
Big and brash synths with a powerful bass driven groove is what the Alex Sense remix is all about. Alex is a newcomer to the Bonzai stable and no doubt this remix will make a huge impression. Based in Athens, Alex began to DJ around 1990 after he was introduced to a bit of Psy Trance. Soon after, in 2000 he set up 6thSense LTD and started to manage, produce and promote events among other things. Since 2009 he has seen releases on Movement Recordings, Micro Digital Records and Audiophile Live. The remix intros with a nice chunky kick with minimal percussions coming through. The percussions build smoothly and soon they are joined by a super punchy bass that will have any floor on the move. Big synths sweep by and give the track a purely deep streak which is further enhanced with top quality FX. The break plays on the melancholy of the original beautifully as deep piano chords are contrasted with bright arps. Strong and driving grooves for the darker rooms that will go down a storm.

A deep and raw bassline keeps the progressive grooves flowing as melodies are formed with some fantastic flutes. The break unleashes a deep and sinister sounding drone that is contrasted superbly by the vocal before we are taken back to the main track and back on course on this wonderful progressive journey. A unique cut that is not to be missed.
The Chill Out Mix of Soul Of India takes us on a surreal trek through some beautifully crafted melodic sequences, deep basses and stunning vocal phrases. First up we have the original mix that starts life with a nice chunky kick and subtle percussions. A deep rooted pad begins to fade through as the percussion arrangements become more prominent. As the track progresses we are drawn into a darkly atmospheric space that consumes your mind beautifully. Distant ethnic sounds further enhance the deep progressive vibes and add a surreal element. Deep basses bubble up from deep within the groove as soft melodic phrases break through and we are left with a stunningly epic track that will prove a hit in many sets for sure. Not to be missed.
Relaunch is first up with his brilliant remix. Big and bold intro as monster kicks take full control from the off to the backdrop of tight percussions and a hypnotic synth loop. Dancey drum patterns soon follow and lead us up to a fantastic Psy styled riff that really sets the track off. The bass sits perfectly under the track and adds its own pulsating rhythms to the sound. The break is an out of this world moment that delivers a beautiful euphoric vibe as melodies are forged out of a wonderful string and pad arrangement. We are then thrust back into this tough edged workout for the duration, absolute top quality yet again from Maik.
Kevin Vega is back on remix duty and as he normally tends to do he has raised the bar again with this remarkable journey through the progressive spectrum. The intro eases in with a beautiful atmospheric soundscape filled with lush tones and subtle melodic flavours. Distant percussions lead up to a fantastic pulsing bass which is soon joined by a smooth kick and the track flows magically. Intensity breeds at every turn and soon you will find yourself locked into a stunning hypnotic groove. A truly epic ride that will appeal to many, a must have.
On fire producer Audio Noir is up next with his remix that stuns with its wonderful complexities. An Audio Noir Odyssey is a master stroke of epic proportions as the intro guides us into a progressive world filled with a myriad of melodies and tight arrangements. Beautifully tweaked sound designs light up the spectrum with warm pads, cascading arps and a haunting chorus. These sound blend perfectly into an epic intro that builds to a stomping rolling kick climax. Big chunky kicks take over alongside a brilliant bassline that just oozes acid flavour. The track holds a steady flowing rhythm and takes us to the break where we are given respite in a serene setting with fluctuating melodies before we are slammed right back with the help of a massive build up. No more words, just listen, you will not be disappointed.
Audio Noir offers up his Zen Mix which encapsulates the ambient side of his Odyssey. All the mesmeric and haunting qualities are gathered together to captivate us into a surreal progressive driven utopia. Anticipation builds as we are teased with the prospect of a full on 4×4 beat that never arrives. Absolutely amazing work yet again from this wonderfully talented guy.
German DJ and producer Jonny Calypso is back with this brilliant two tracker, Girls Gone Wild. His last outing, Definition was well received and no doubt we will be treated to more of the same on this one. You can catch Jonny on upcoming Bonzai Basik Beats radio episodes soon.
The title track, Girls Gone Wild, intros with a nice big phat kick and a deep rooted bass combi. The percussion arrangements build nicely giving off a smooth rhythmic flow as distant arps form up in the background. The bassline keeps a relentless course as it pulsates through the sound beautifully while some very cool and subtle synth work goes off to great effect. The break downs are a showcase for the percussive elements and keep the sound on trek brilliantly. Top notch deep progressive vibes, not to be missed.
Home Alone gets right into the progressive house vibe from the get go as nice and chunky kicks sit beside sharp hats and cool percussions. The bass throbs out a powerful groove that hooks you in for the duration as it hypnotises your mind. In the background a surreal hook plays out and teases up to the break where a gritty analog bass synth takes over before slamming us right back into the main track with a punch.
