Spanish DJ and producer Alex Vidal returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Pieces Of A Dream which comes with two fantastic remixes courtesy of DJ Fire and Blufeld. Alex always dishes out quality cuts as proved on his last outing Solar Citadel which was very well received among many.
The Original Mix sets a cool progressive mood with a nice mellow intro filled with wispy sounds and distant percussions. The drum section fades up to reveal a monster kick that just hits you right in the chest as it pounds out its groove. A truly deep progressive bassline ensues and drives the track beautifully as the crispy percussions keep the rhythm flowing. Cool synth stabs and brighter melodic flavours give a nice contrast as we are drawn into this hypnotising world. A top notch cut yet again which will be a big hitter in any set.
DJ Fire is up first to remix duty and yet again we see his skills shine beautifully. Jurgen has recently been enjoying much attention for his works with lots of features on top sites for Without Roots and his most recent track Kleine Nyo. The remix intros with a firm kick that packs a phat punch, this is joined by some very nice crispy, snappy percussions which build a solid rhythmic base. Very cool synth stabs lurk in the background as the mid section reveals some smooth riffs that have a hint of acidic flavour. Up front a monster bass dominates the groove and sits perfectly in the sound drawing you in completely. The track takes us on a truly sublime journey which you will definitely not want to miss.
Fresh off the back of his last track Threlkeld, Blufeld is up next on the remix with his superb effort. Some big news on the way from Blufeld with the hope of a new album imminent which we are excited about and cannot wait to hear. The remix intros with some rising percussions that lead to a huge chunky kick and droning bass combi that will get the floors pumping for sure. Warm sweeping pads begin to wash over the track beautifully before a sharp melodic synth comes into play. On the break the melodies take over and steer the track in a euphoric detour before slamming right back into the full on progressive monster that it is, an absolute stomper from Blufeld.
DJ Fire goes solo for his next effort entitled Kleine Nyo. Jurgen has been a longstanding member of the Bonzai family for many years now and after a short break from producing he is back.

DJ Fire goes solo for his next effort entitled Kleine Nyo. Jurgen has been a longstanding member of the Bonzai family for many years now and after a short break from producing he is back. His re-entry began a few years ago through collaborations with other producers, most notably his friend Airwave. Those two guys together always come up trumps as we all know, their most recent cut as a duo was on the stunning Without Roots, which climbed up many charts since its release. We are sure you will find this new solo work something special as we do here at HQ.
Kleine Nyo intros with a smooth percussive sequence as cool synth stabs go off in the background alongside a fading in deep vocal sample. A growling bassline materialises out of nowhere and gives off a raw organic flavour. Tech influences are crawling out of the sound beautifully as the track takes us on a relentless journey. The break throws up a cool pulsing bass note as the percussions filter back in with that brilliant vocal sample continuing. Top notch from Fire and a definite must in those boxes.
Next up we have the DJ Fire Remix which sets off with expertly crafted arrangements filled with percussions and a throbbing bass. Crispy hats get the rhythm flowing and a nice phat kick gets the party started. A prominent offset bass adds extra punch as the vocal samples make a return. Much more progressive orientated than the original with the basses playing a big role. Short synth stabs bring wonderful textured layers to the sound. Excellent stuff which is not to be missed.
It’s been over a year since we last saw Frangellico at Bonzai, now he is back with his superb Floating EP. Last time around we got a dosing of his progressive flavours on Manu Riga’s The Darkness Within which performed very well indeed. Since then he has seen his remixes appear on various compilations from the Bonzai stable as well as releases on various labels.
Floating intros with a nice and smooth percussion arrangement as a silky pad and soothing melody fade through. Punchy kicks soon follow and the journey begins into progressive utopia. A solid bassline walks through the track beautifully and gets the grooves flowing effortlessly. Melodic layers begin to shine as you get lost in the sound and on the break these melodies evolve with striking synths and wistful pads. Stunning display of progressive house that will be a feature among many no doubt.
Only For Now sets off in classic chunky kick and crispy hats fashion that creates a solid platform for the track. A deep throbbing sub bass comes through and takes over the sound as sweeping pads lurk in the background. Percussions begin to layer up giving off a smooth rhythmic flow taking us up to the main bass that packs a huge punch. Silky smooth plucks ooze sweet melodies which give cool contrasts and add an almost dreamy vibe. Another strong progressive house stomper that is sure to delight many.

First up is Under The Sun with a superb remix from Inkfish. Deep and dark tones are felt from the outset as a pounding kick sits over a distant pad. Cool vocal samples crop up throughout adding smooth textures to the groove. Laidback rhythms come off the subtle percussion section and pave the way for the bass which is the star of the show. That bassline just pulses through the track beautifully and keeps the deeper progressive elements on point. The synth work is minimal as it comes through with a raw edge. Top notch cut from Inkfish that will warm up a lot of sets.
The masterful Airwave provides the next remix on One More Night and right from the off you will realise you’re in for a treat as the wonderfully crafted intro lulls you into its grasp. Subtle synths ebb and flow as a bubbling bass fades up bringing with it a fantastic sense of anticipation. A huge kick unleashes a superb breakbeat pattern which takes us to the first break where a stunning guitar strums out a beautiful melodic sequence with the help of some bright synths before getting back into full on mode. A truly epic and hypnotic experience you will not want to miss.

The bass will move you as it pounds out a superb progressive groove while contrasting bright pads float above. A short break reveals a beautiful piano sequence and a fantastic vocal that takes the track to a new level. Simply wonderful stuff from Manu which is most definitely not to be missed.
Sa.Du is up next with his remix of Morphine. The intro boasts a tight drum arrangement filled with punchy kicks and a round of rhythmic percussions that will have you on the dancefloor in no time. A deep throbbing bass rears its head to get the groove really flowing and commands right through the track. Cool clangy FX come through adding a tech flavour to the sound while smooth arps and synths retain the progressive edge. Overall the track dishes out a driving groove that will be a most welcome addition in any set.
Lastly on this package we have 21street with a remix of La Polaris. Pounding kicks get the track moving to the backdrop of cool percussion patterns as a female vocal comes in every other bar with a sharp delivery. The track breaks briefly before slamming back with a monster bass that just rolls right through the sound brilliantly and setting the progressive house groove on course. Contrasting melodic sequences are born out of a sweet and bright synth as the darker elements continue to flow. A very cool and dynamic slice that will be a feature among many for sure.
Back with progressive stomper we have Matan Caspi with his newest cut Fabulous which comes with a fantastic remix from Relaunch. Recently Matan released Dangerous Change which featured the vocal talent of Mykle Anthony, this track saw plenty of support and we have no doubt that today’s effort will follow suit.
The Original Mix gets us moving with a classic chunky kick and rhythmic percussion intro as cool FX go off in the background. A beautifully warm synth bass washes over the sound and gets the groove moving nicely before a much deeper rolling bass takes over and gets the progressive juices flowing. Well crafted house synths stab throughout as cool vocal samples pop up from time to time. A real driving progressive monster here that will be a feature among many sets for sure.
