Amor, the Portuguese word for love, gives name to this AU Orange release.
Gabriel Feitor is the man responsible for the Original mix, a delicate piece of art where, more than just feelings, he beautifully drawn an entire new and contagious state of mind.
Tiago Ribeiro nailed it once more by making a perfect balance between the original feeling and his caracteristic groovy style, resulting in a dancefloor friendly track which is also a sweet treat to our followers.
This time the both heads of the label came into a single for the “Black Label” and did what they always seek for this catalog, outrageous, wicked and sexy dark music.
Tiago did the original, which is a completely floor burning tool, bringing a simple lead of voice that you won’t believe.
Fragoso the Head Manager of the label, turned Tiago’s astonishing work into an Acid theme that will turn you addicted since the first compass. We won’t talk much about this, just listen!
No one better than Thomas Stiller to inaugurate our new EP structure.
Instead of one original and three remixes, we’re delivering two great original tracks from the same artist, and Beauty is the first word that comes to my mind while listening to both these deep house tracks…
The starter track, “You Know”, came from a collaboration between Stiller and Lukas Reither, who added an amazing “live feeling”, introducing recordings from crowds and pushing their vocal skills even further.
Next comes “Mountain Hut” filled with good vibes, this track has a very nicely produced vocal bits which give it an amazing “alive motion”.
Both base their percussion in classic house samples which gives to “Mountain Hut” EP the perfect mix between old and new school sound!
AUBK004 marks 2Tan’s entry to our artist crew, and this release is proof of his enormous talent!
Black Rock EP delights our followers with two brilliant originals, the ground-breaking “Black Rock” and an airy track called “Etten-Leur”.
Though amazing separate, these tracks gain a all new life when together in the same EP where they tell to the listener a story which begins in “Etten-Leur” beautiful synth work, and ends up having its “great finale” written in “Black Rock”.
More than sound, this is EP is a story written on sound.
This is AU Black.
AU Orange is proud to present its third release. Deepest than ever, Tiago Ribeiro’s “Grooviest Cat” is an EP full of surprises, containing the original version and 3 wonderful remixes from Joao Teixeira (Portugal), Filipa Rebelo (Portugal) and Jazzam (Ecuador).
Tiago Ribeiro made its original version very pleasant to classic deep-house lovers with its “chicago beat style” fused with delayed saxophone sounds, typical delayed house music female shouts and the unusual using of “mafia style” vocals and flute sounds. This very simple composition has been tested and approved in the dance floor, making the crowd move to its groove.
Joao Teixeira, portuguese DJ and house music producer is the newest acquisition on our artist team. His remix shown how perfectly he fits AU Orange’s philosophy, delivering his meaningful mix, enabling the listener to take a trip while listening to his track. Beautifully sculpted, this version is marked by its random sounding percussion and every little detail in its production, from the usage of the right sounding pads and stabs, ambience violins and brilliant vocal treatment. We asked, Joao delivered!
Filipa Rebelo presented a solid sounding mix with a beautiful composition between different synth sounds, building a beautiful sounding deep-house track. Very well produced, this mix has a different basis, changing the classic “chicago house beat” with very powerful and effective new-school percussion. Once more Filipa’s done it and made her magic, grabbing the “old schoolish’ original mix and recreating in a completely different way, while keeping all its feelings and beauty.
Jazzam brought to the EP his techie vision of “Grooviest Cat”, spicing it to ground shaking levels! If every version in this EP has its own hour to be played, Jazzam’s version is definitely the 6AM version. Outrageously dance-floor effective, this mix counts with beautifully synthesized arp’s and great overall arranging and its our big trump to hit the most demanding crowds.
And we go dark again… AU Black is proud to present Sohan’s “Adi Shakti”, a single containing the original version and two remixes, one by Zalaz and the other by Izato, Black Catalog’s Main A&R.
In the original, Sohan revives the feeling of old school tribal percussion and vocals, revealing its power after the build ups, along with the carefully chosen pad synths for the breakdowns.
Zalaz did an excellent job, making his track fluent and listener friendly by developing a brilliant sequence of delays on some percussion elements and synth sounds. This is an excellent example of underground dark music capable of pleasing a broader audience.
Izato’s approach kept the darkness and added a new school feeling to it, induced by his minimalistic yet effective percussion, beautiful distorted guitar effects and a carefully thought structure. It is a remarkable work in terms of synthesis and on how to achieve complex and nice sounding build ups thru it.
AU Records is proud to present Jazz painted in Orange! This release has been inspired by an Eco do Ego’s original track called “Aquijazz”, and features remixes from Inês Duarte, Diego Alvez and Fragoso.
The original track gives the listener a very pleasant experience using a great variety of Jazzy sounds arranged in a spontaneous way, having the healthy characteristic of being a mystery from the beginning, revealing itself slowly during its playback. Eco do Ego mixed very raw percussion with a simple, yet solid, bassline and series of rhodes and vocal sounds in a brilliant way, sharing with the world his own vision of Jazz music and how it can be played from Chill-Out lounges to Clubs.
Inês Duarte’s version is so dancefloor friendly that you won’t want to miss the opportunity to have it. The strong percussion and bassline prints a huge power to the track, while the perfect, short yet effective, selection of samples from the original samplepack, mixed with a brilliant gated/arpeggiated synth, adds to the track an inexplainable metaphysical feeling.
Diego Alvez, very inspired by the original version, made it shuffle as well! Totally unpredictable from the begining to the end, it mixes all kind of instruments in a very curious way, breaking some rules here and there during the music, just like Jazz artists do. Keeping the warm Chill-Out feeling of Eco do Ego’s version this turns to be perfect to relaxant ambients.
Fernando Fragoso’s efforts to make his piece of art unique turned it into, not only a remix, but a track filled with a new set of recordings such as his own played contrabass and loops of his voice, so he kept some vital percussion elements from the original version and rebuilt the concept according to Fragoso’s well refined taste.
Black Concept #1 is a small conceptual EP that contains special material such as “Genesis” and “Lisboa”. This two Tracks aren’t common. Both have a special concept. It’s a deep fusion between classical and techno music. They’re more than two efficient dancefloor tracks, they’re completely different than what you’ve heard in the last months scene. They are 100% AU Black.
