Simone Girau is back, this time with a completely groundbreaking and outrageously funky hip-house track with electro influences, “Repeat” is the name and after you listen it you will understand why it’s called that way. “Repeat” makes you wanna listen to it in repeat without hesitation, but Simone wasn’t happy enough with this fact and teamed up with her brother Dario to bring us a monster dark house track that reminds us of the 90s New York house scene. Filled with reverberated soul vocals which automatically make you feel like you’re in the old high times. You can’t miss this!
Contempo is the man this time. He delivers the groove, the harmony and show us from which matter he’s made.
Urban Seduction, the most progressive side of the EP. Filled and pads, arpeggios and sweeps that bring us the mellow touch of the theme. But not only with harmony is made the theme. The bass is jumpin’ all the time and is fat as hell. In the end the only thing that you wish is to make it last.
Evolution is deep, starts quiet but reveals itself as an observation about the evolution of the human being, the duality between cience and religion. Musically speaking, the Bassline is always diggin’ deep as usual from Contempo, and the keys make yourself want more.
Deep, mellow and tasty! Dont miss it…
Tarot (the moniker for Tokyo based, Japanese producer Taro Fujita) has been released on labels such as: Session Trax, TKC Music, Ready Mix Records, just to name a few.
He has been involved with names such as: DJ Vibe, Pirupa, Frank Maurel, Carlos Fauvrelle, Cytric, John Creamer & Stephane K and That Kid Chris, having been coproduced by some and remixed by and for others.
But now, forgetting all the Tarot references in the Underground scene…
Sunny is a true Progressive House track, consistent with Tarot’s style, with many delayed instrument elements floating around. The bassline is a saw filtered pad that fills up the bottom of the composition, which is followed by ethnic vocals that appear time to time.
Going beyond the Progressive theme is a Modern epic story told by Tarot that is unmissable if you really understand what true Progressive House Music is about.
2tan, the marble boy from AU Records, does what he does best in his interpretation; defining the pace in a way that we can’t understand, he brings the atmosphere and makes it grow. The picture is filled by colour every time he decides to make something happen, and trust us you don’t want to see this guy DAW mapping. His interpretation is a mutant monster that is never quiet, yet everything that happens is perfectly and subtle planned. The post script… 2tan’s done it Epic again, full bassline, pads, noise’s and other effects that seem to appear from a star called Pollux, and the ginger in the top of the cake, a really simple but perfect melody that completely turn his composition into a work of genius. We cannot attempt to classify it… Just listen!
To start 2013 AU Orange delivers a tasty deep single coming from Bruno Ferreira.
The original mix is a House track filled with lovely chords, vocals and a beast bassline. But what make it special is the Hook, which delivers a very jazzy and twisted feeling.
Fragoso & Swing City Remix, well it’s Acid, and the 909 is played in Chicago House style, the track its really really deep, digging all the time around the “Monster” Bassline.
The Hook of original is also present in this remix, although its not Organ style anymore. It’s a very warm chord that turns a track into a deeper anthem.
Zalaz & Memo Sepulveda remix brings us a completely different interpretation full of pads and sub basses. The vocal appears in a completely different approach, with reverses and cuts. Lovely!
2013 started and we invited one of our Portuguese Monster DJ’s to record one of our Club Cult’s. Lucio Monteiro. This guy played in the most mythical clubs in the last 30 years. Some of them are among the best clubs in the world, for example, D-Edge, Paradise or even in Lux, among others….Lucio Monteiro gave us a DJ Set fully provided with groove and deep harmonies. With no more description…. Just listen to this living legend!
“Acontece” is the Portuguese word for “It happens”, this track expresses all the things in life we can’t control.
Technically speaking the track is a fusion between jazz and dub/deep techno. From the jazzy double bass slaps and cymbals to the deep floating pads and TR909 drums, this track is a bit of his expression about how he’d like electronic music to be in future. The vocals were sang in Portuguese, Fragoso’s mother language.
Once again Orange brings us an outstanding EP from a Portuguese duo. Their name? Swing City. Please note it. These chaps will shake and fire the dancefloor in the next months, and we AU Records want to keep them with us. So, about the best. Their music….
Classroom is a Old Schoolish style house track with strong drums aside with a organ pad. But dont think this is another sunset track, this baby will shake a dancefloor properly.
Being more specific this track is tricky considering all the floating elements moving around. Although it starts smoothly and lovely and finish with an epic drum groove followed by pad that makes the theme.
Laze…. the track that gives the name to the EP. Its a really smooth track for playing in a bar or event in a sunset. The vocals are sweet and well treated as expected, and the Chords are pure orange juice for us. Tasty and with body.
If you love deep house, you wont miss this.
This time AU Black brings us an Ultra-Deep Single from Joao Martins.
The original mix is a melodic and technoish track with a lot of acid and detroit influences. The drums are from TR909 as usual from most of our crew.
The other mix is a completely different path, Fragoso brough the original concept into an empty space and re-build it since the beginning. It’s a pure detroitish dub techno track with a lot of space and ambience. The original is more peak time track. Fragoso’s one is for sure an after-hour track.
