Berlin based German producer and DJ, Andree Wischnewski returns to Basiks after the successful “Dreamers Choice EP”. 3 superb tracks fitting well into the world of tech house with passion.
The title track “Borderline” is one seriously jacked up sound, thumping kick and a chest throbbing bassline will have your whole body shaking. Deep muted synths and some cool sliding effects adds character on the build. Prepare yourselves to be blown away, when the synths filter through they hit hard and a solid groove is here for the duration. Caution: Bass, you have been warned.
“Stupid Girl” is a slightly more lighter approach while keeping a huge bass sound. Cool steady rhythm, short, sharp hats and real nice FX accompany an offbeat deep bass. The grabber on this track is the synth stabs, lots of changes that keep you hooked with surprises at every turn, a big sound for the floors here.
“Lost” takes us on an epic journey, huge cinematic sequences with big pads over a consistent almost hard edged groove with the deep bass and drum arrangement. Melodies play a big part and this contrast will be keen for a lot of ears.
Something very special here from Andree and a twist in the ever evolving electronic scene, enjoy!

Berlin native Andree Wischnewski debuts on Bonzai Basiks with his minimal tech “Dreamers Choice EP”.
Andree is a prominent club DJ having graced many decks for the last 10 years. In 2011 he teamed up with Eric Kanzler (who is responsible for Fog Horn on Bonzai Basiks) and this partnership was a breakthrough for Andree. He has enjoyed releases on K:Lender, ONA Records, Mimique Records and Doppelgaenger. We are delighted to see Andree’s unique style of minimal tech enter into the Bonzai family.
The first track on this EP is “Dreamers Choice”, very dark sound with a heavy kick and some FX building up to a break with a cool melody and rising effect. The melody works quite well with the darker tech vibe and provides a solid groove.
“Incredible” continues the minimal vibe, loads of FX over a chunky kick lead up to the break with quirky melancholic melodies, very impressive stuff and the melodies are well crafted to suit the style.
Finally we have “Wish Sometimes”, deep tech groove on this, again Andree keeps things minimal and the production of the melody is superb, swirling pads invade your mind in a kind of spacey effect which works so well with the arrangement.
A super debut on Bonzai Basiks and definitely one to watch for the future!
