Superb deep tech from Sean McCaff & Mylan with “Pray” which is backed up with a brilliant remix. Debuting on Basiks is Dutch DJ and producer Sean McCaff, Sean has been around the scene for quite some time having started to DJ in 1987 in clubs around The Hague and in Ibiza. He has released a few tracks over the years also with support coming from top jocks from around the world. Mylan is fresh from his last release on Bonzai Progressive the “Doubt EP” and he continues to deliver the goods in style. Here the guys join forces on “Pray” which can be described almost as a hybrid with many different layers of sound that work so well together.

The original mix has a tribal, deep prog tech character and this sound feels like something very special. We get an understated kick as the bass and percussions take centre stage. Very well constructed sound from start to finish with a hypnotic vibe. The big hitter here is the awesome vocal that will keep you hooked in completely.

Onofrio Conte steps up to the desk with his MB Studio Remix. Onofrio’s last outing for Basiks was his “Red Lights EP” which was well received. The overall vibe on this remix has stayed true to the original but with a much deeper intensity. The tribal element is there with a great percussion and bongo-tabla arrangement, the bassline has a hint of progressive creating a superb floor stomper! Again the vocal really does captivate as it unfolds it’s story, awesome!
