Waiting For You

Bonzai Progressive BP2972013 22 July, 2013

Kabalo debuts on BP with “Waiting For You”, the track comes backed up with two quality remixes.

The Original Mix is a step into the deeper end of progressive with a brain churning bassline that cuts right into your mind as it pulsates a hypnotic rhythm. Tight drum patterns and percussions provide a flowing rhythm over a slow, drawn out vocal. Sweeping synth pads bring up the rear while a hint of a melody teases from the distance. Huge sound on this with the bass being the main focus.

Australian DJ and producer Audio Noir is first up on the remix with his Rekonstruction. Audio Noir is fresh off the back of his latest effort “Transfagarasan Highway” and he has lots more remixes and his projects lined up which will prove to be an exciting future. The remix takes the original and injects a huge amount of energy, a tough throbbing bass takes over while the synths give only the slightest melody, this contrast keeps the track firmly within the progressive sphere. On the break things take a turn with a soft choir like vocal coming through over that edgy bass and sweet arp before getting right back to a full on prog monster, superb stuff.

Rise And Fall are next on the remix roster, their last outing “Imagination” was well supported all over. The remix intros with classic kick and sub bass combo, the track builds on percussions and a brilliant main bassline. The original vocal is used very well and fits perfectly. In full effect this track rocks, the bassline just rolls along and the synths are at just the right level to keep you wanting more. A tough edged progressive stomper that will pick up a lot of attention.
