Born in the UK and now residing in Belgium Jack “Jakhira” marks his Bonzai debut with an absolute stomping EP. Jack had feelings for music even before he could walk or talk and throughout his childhood he was found playing with many musical toys. At 14 he started to write and produce his own compositions and soon after he got his first set of turntables and mixer. Over the next 10 years he would delve into many genres to find his niche within electronica. Since 2006 he has focused more on his productions while evolving his style.The title track “Truly” is a sublime cut of progressive house with attitude, cool funky flavours are all over this sound with a fresh sounding vocal adding the funky element. Tight drum arrangements and some expertly crafted keys will make this a big floor favourite!”Our Destiny” is more of the same quality house production, lots of depth and layered textures are made up for the myriad of sounds. Some real nice melodies are evident with a more progressive edge , nice steady rhythm builds and builds up to the break where a musical masterpiece takes over with acidic, piano and strings all playing a part, epic stuff!”Same Things” rounds up this EP in style, again we see a focused determination in the choice of sounds on offer.
