Bonzai Progressive BP3812014 18 August, 2014

Ecco returns to Bonzai Progressive after a short hiatus with the superb Switch featuring three top notch remixes from top quality artists. We last saw Ecco on remix duty for Eric Powa B’s track Sunshine and we are delighted to see him back in action yet again.

Switch intros with a smooth drum arrangements that features muted kicks and a strong metallic feel. The kicks evolve into nice and punchy hits aits as percussions begin to form up flowing rhythms. A deep bubbling bassline shores up the rear and gets the track into full gear. The break offers up some cool synth pads creating a surreal atmospheric vibe which combines beautifully with the deep nature of the track. Nice deep, dark and long progressive for those darker rooms.

Dynamic duo Mindgamers are up first on remix duty with their stunning cut. The guys had recently remixed Matan Caspi’s Just Let Go receiving great support and have also been busy DJing. We are always excited when their work hits the office and we are in for a treat here. Straight from the off we get an upbeat kinda vibe off the chunky kicks and subtle percussions, the multi layered bass also gives the vibe a nice bounce to it. Sharp and rhythmic hats lift the sound up a notch alongside some superb synths and textured licks that give the sound a funky side. A definite must have for any party and not to be missed.

German DJ and producer Manuel Palmitesta debuts on Bonzai Progressive as offers up the next remix. Manuel has seen releases on many labels over the last few years and he always gains lots of support, and we are sure that this effort will turn a few heads. The track intros with a punchy kick and classic percussion set up with an in your face hypnotic siren styled synth note that dominates the sound. A very subtle yet effective bass sits in the rear and binds the track together beautifully. On the break a techy element filters into the sound as the percussions keep the groove flowing before we slam right back into full swing with an air raid siren for good measure. Top notch stuff.

Phat Traktor aka Spanish DJ and producer Jose Vinilo returns after his brilliant debut track Voyage gained much support. Here he takes the remix on a sublime journey into the deeper side of progressive house. The track intros with dark drums and a pulsating bassline as various percussions begin to filter through setting the dark tone of the sound. A tech styled synth swirls in the background as brighter lick comes through. A deep and hypnotic slice that will sit perfectly in those darker sets.
