Red Lights EP

Onofrio returns to Basiks after his well received debut with “Red Lights EP”. This two tracker is another fine example of this Naples native’s talent and Basiks is the perfect home for his style and sound.

The title track is a full on tech house ride bursting with energetic tribal elements presented through the wonderful array of tablas and bongos in the percussion section. Real deep bass accompanied by chunky kicks give way to a solid groove with some intense synths and an echoed vocal adding extra weight, top stuff.

“Badass” is… well a badass track indeed, very understated groove with a lot of punch. Tight drums and sharp hats provide a steady rhythm and the bass is a huge pounding monster. A slight twist takes place with a funky styled vocal popping up which is a great contrast with the tribal rhythms taking place, another expertly crafted effort with huge prospects on any floor.
