Muzika – Volume 5

SRUR presents its fifth instalment in the ‘Muzika’ series. Four new, top quality deep techno cuts brought to you by five top class artists including Ben Mert & Harun Karabulut, Danny Murphy, ED Whitty and Moll.

Ben Mert debuts on SRUR while Harun is becoming quite the regular on these shores. The guys deliver with their ‘Drunken Violine’ which fades in to reveal a monster kick and bass combo with a sinister sounding FX. A beautifully strange violin comes through and creates a wonderfully textured sound with great percussive elements over the top. Top notch stuff from the boys!

Danny Murphy debuts on SRUR with his sublime track ‘Quiroga’. Nice and smooth percussive intro leading to a solid well formed kick. Soon an offset bass opens the track up and adds an energetic feel. Very bouncy vibe here as steady, flowing rhythms are formed and some cool sounds bursting through. An infectious groove for the big floors and not to be missed.

Ed Whitty returns to SRUR after his recent stint with Gabriel Ben. Here he delivers ‘Kukulkan’ which is a well crafted slice of techno. Chunky kicks are accompanied by a shuffling styled hat arrangement creating a cool rhythm. The deep sub bass packs a huge punch as it relentlessly powers through the groove. Cool buzzing effect on the synths create a bit of tension with a superb vocal sample adding weight. Tight track for the late night masses.

Moll debuts on SRUR with his track ‘In Your Head’. Recently Moll has seen a release on Bonzai Basiks with the prospect of much more to come. Here he pushes the techno out of every sound he’s used. Superbly crafted drum arrangements give off a steady vibe as a mega deep bass pulsates through the speakers. Some very cool percussive and crowd effects fill the spectrum as this track gets into the heart of techno. Excellent stuff!
