Deltahouse

Piston Recordings PR2016217 23 May, 2016

Fresh off the back of his last Piston cut – Sot Vaed – Swedish DJ and producer Victor Bergh aka Victor Berghmeister returns with another fine slice of deep house pleasure on his two tracker Deltahouse. Always an exciting time when this guy drops his tunes into the office and this time around is no exception, listen and learn.

The title tracks Deltahouse intros with a very classy kick drum and hi hat combi, straight away you feel locked into a deep groove and this feeling grows as the layers build. In the background a high string hangs in the air as percussive elements form up. The track breaks to reveal a muffled vocal that yields to more percussions before the beats return along with a warm chord and abyss level basses. The vocal comes to the fore soon after and is accompanied by some dialogue, but the vocal steals the show with its catchy appeal and cool lyrics. An expertly crafted piece that will sit beautifully into the more groovy peak time sets.

Las Legos is up next and sets of with a top notch punchy kick drum and bright crispy hat combi. Percussions start to build all around and form into a solid rhythmic groove that is complimented by some very cool chords and keys. A Barry White-esque vocal comes through adding a sultry tone to the groove. The deep nature of the sound ensures an equally deep groove that oozes sex appeal. The bassline is the icing on the cake here as it struts along playfully and marrying perfectly with the keys. If you’re looking for something to keep the hot and sweaty floors grooving then this is your cut, not to be missed.
