Confabulate

Bonzai Progressive BP3872014 8 September, 2014

Philthy Chit returns to Bonzai Progressive with the superb Confabulate which comes packed out with three top quality remixes. Phil has been very busy lately on remix duties, churning out top notch cuts at every turn, his last effort on Nico Parisi and Gai Barone’s Perla saw great support and many features at top download sites.

The Original Mix gets us moving with a cool punchy kick and steadily building percussion led intro. The bass soon commands the track as drives the progressive grooves forward alongside stunning FX and a striking vocal sample. On the break the track really comes to life with hypnotic synths and intricate melodies alongside that soulful vocal adding great character. Top notch yet again from Phil and a definite must have track for those peak time prog sets.

Fresh off the back of his Camis Minor EP, Relaunch is back to lend his talents on remix duty and yet again he does not disappoint. A full on uplifter is played out in his own unique style which is a joy to many. So many wonderful elements combine beautifully here, from big chunky kicks to beat pulsing pads and that bubbling bassline to fascinating FX. The break unleashes a wave of euphoria as melodic sequences build up to climax with an ear piercing synth that will force those hands in the air. One for the big floors here and not to be missed.

Yuriy From Russia continues his spate of remixes with this latest cut solidifying the quality he always delivers. We last saw Yuriy on K-Fel – Pantheon which was a well received track among many and no doubt we are in for more of the same here. The track oozes a tough progressive vibe as the bassline drives the groove beautifully. Tight drum arrangements keep the rhythms flowing with a little help from a brilliant vocal sample that fits so well. The synths are the big hitter here hypnotising the mind with their complex melodies keeping the groove flowing. Superb stuff yet again from Yuriy.

Audio Noir is up next with another of his outstanding remixes. Lately he has been extremely busy with a multitude or remixes, his last coming on Airwave and DJ Fire’s Without Roots. But not only that he has also been working hard on his very own studio album Almost Famous which has recently been released on Bonzai Progressive. The intro boasts a nice big chunky kick as we have come accustomed to with an Audio Noir cut, the kick is joined by a fantastic percussion section that delivers cool rhythms. A vocal sample comes through with a sweeping pad going off in the background before the track open up with a monster bass taking control. Beautiful melodies are delivered via cool arps and add rich layered textures to the sound. An all round fast paced stomper that will be a welcome addition in any set.
