Click Time

Sirius Brown debuts on Basiks with the pacey techno stomper Click Time which comes backed with a superb remix from Van Czar. Sirius has released some top gems over the last few years and is also the A&R for Backspin Records. As well as producing he is also a fantastic pro DJ, spinning at top clubs and parties. Nice to have him on board here and hope to see more in the future.

The Original Mix gets right into full on tech mode with a tough kick and snappy clap combo alongside bright open hats. A very cool probing bass makes its way through the sound as we go deeper into techno grooves. In the background a rising pad sweeps across the sound as tube like synths rattle around. Higher pitched string bring an air of intensity as a fantastic vocal snippet floats around. A real stomping groover here that will light up the floors no doubt.

One of Bonzai’s most prolific and hardest working DJ and producer Van Czar steps up for remix duty. Already in 2015 Van is making waves with his tight pumping DJ sets to his usual top quality productions such as his latest offering, Rumba EP among others on various labels. One highlight we know Van is very proud of is his first cut to vinyl through our Bonzai Worx Vol 5 which featured the superb Sugar Love. On the remix we get an injection of Vans signature tight drum patterns and attention to detail we have come to love. Big, pounding kicks dominate alongside a monster bassline that is complimented by a classic styled acid line that runs right through the sound. Old skool styled drums and claps keep the groove flowing and the addition of the vocal snippets works beautifully. Top notch yet again from Van and we will no doubt be seeing a lot more from this guy soon.
