088 EP

Piston Recordings PR2017317 29 May, 2017

Ilario Laggetta returns to Piston Recordings as a solo artist with his 088 EP. His debut for us came back in the Summer of 2015 alongside studio partner Alessio Rizzo with the superb Breakfast In Lebanon. Ilario found music early in his life and in 1988 he stepped into the DJ world and began a magical journey that would take him through various clubs and top spot at various DJ competitions. His sets deliver a cool blend of rhythmic tech house with melodic touches while his music carries its own unique characteristic. Great to see him at Piston once more.

088 intros with a fantastic pounding kick drum and bright crispy hi hat combo alongside minimal percussions and a cool vocal one shot. The track breaks to reveal some very cool synth stabs and club vocals that deliver a nice retro theme throughout. The groove is pumped up by a dancey bassline and various synth riffs that keep the vibe alive. A real nice slice of tech flavoured house that is not to be missed.

I Said House is a solid stomper of a track which pumps out a serious groove that will delight the floors for sure. Thumping kick drums lead the way alongside tight percussions and shuffling hats as a bubbling bassline rattles along. Cool vocals which sound like ‘acid house’ litter the groove giving the track a real nice club vibe. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

Love And Money delivers a full on tech house groove complete with punchy kick drums, slicing hi hats and a fantastic bouncing bassline that will force you to the floor. A very cool female vocal runs through the track to great effect, giving it a solid dancefloor appeal for sure. Minimal sounds blend together in all right places making this a definite must have for those pumping sets.
