Relaunch is back with his long awaited follow up to his Camis Minor EP with the superb Sleepwalking EP. Since then Maik has been very busy with remixes for the likes of Matan Caspi, Airwave & DJ Fire, Philthy Chit and Gai Barone as well as other projects. We are always excited when he delivers his cuts and this one will blow your mind.

First up we have Sleepwalking which takes us on a journey through the deep side of progressive. The intro boasts a beautiful display of deep sounds with throbbing basses and wonderful bright pads with a single kick that teases before pumping out a chunky 4×4 groove. Those arps and pads contrast brilliantly with a deep pulsating bassline that drives the track forward relentlessly. We can hear influences of Psy in there as the bassline produces acidic flavours that add so much texture to the sound. A merciless trek through the darker progressive sphere that will appeal to many for sure.

A State Of Full Consciousness intros with a massive punchy kick and sharp crispy percussions. The bassline gets going early on and brings a tough edge to the sound as it rolls through. An infectious groove ensues and as the layers build we are treated to some outstanding synths that propel the track to new heights. The break lets loose with the synths bringing melodies alongside a droning bass before we are thrust right back into the main groove. A huge pumping track that will light many floors.

The Original Mix of Night Train is up next and the intro takes no prisoners as it unleashes a myriad of pads and FX creating a brilliant soundscape. A plucky arp delivers a sweet melody before the track hits you right in the face with powerful kick and roaring bass combi. Wonderfully layered sounds and FX take the track forward with the bass as the main driving force. We get another taste of melodies on the break which are in stark contrast to the dark nature of the groove and then it’s back to full on mode in this fantastic dark progressive slice.

Lastly on this superb EP we have the Techno Edit of Night Train. We get the driving force from the original as those basses dominate the sound with the emphasis on the darker elements. Nice chunky kicks and a rhythmic percussions keep the groove moving as sweeping pads draw you in. A much more hypnotic affair and one that will gain a lot of attention for sure.
