On fire Australian DJ and producer Audio Noir is back again with another of his top notch creations with Brooklyn Xpress. Audio Noir is one of those producers that always delivers, he has an insight into where sounds originated and has the ability to transfer that sound with today’s technology. This skill is evident in all he produces, most notably with his last two incarnations R3WIND and Pressure. Brooklyn Xpress comes with three superb remixes making up this stunning slice of prog.
The Original Mix intros with a round of cool percussions and a hypnotic delayed bass note, these are soon joined by a nice chunky kick which gets us into full swing. Sublime synths weave in and out of the sound and give off a true progressive house vibe. The first break reveals the stunning bassline that just seems to materialise out of nowhere and adds a driving force to the sound. Cool FX fill the spaces and we are on our way into a world full of deep and dark grooves. The main break lets loose with surreal pads accompanied by a luscious vox and eases us back into the main track for the duration. Top quality yet again and not to be missed.
In-demand producer and remix artist Steve Sai is up first on remix duties with his superb take on the original. Steve has a knack of always pushing out quality cuts of his own and remixes alike. His sounds are featured regularly in many sets and download portals. With a new single on the way very soon we are always delighted to see his work come through the office. The remix intros with a huge chunky kick that will get any floor on the move. Subtle percussions provide a smooth rhythmic feel and short synth stabs build the layers up nicely. The track bursts right into full swing as the fantastic offset bass takes full control of the sound perfectly. Cool FX and one shot hits are evident through and add textures within the layers. Surreal atmospherics come through on the break as the bass continues to reign before slamming right back into the groove, superb stuff from Steve.
Alex Vidal returns to Bonzai Progressive after his debut, Solar Citadel was very well received indeed. No stranger to deep progressive vibes Alex has a keen eye for marrying sounds with ease. Here he sets out on a truly awesome journey as nice, well rounded kicks are contrasted with sweeping melodic pads that seem to float just above the arrangement beautifully. The track settles in as a fantastic deep bass bubbles up from below and dominates for the duration. The break gets groovy with those pads working wonders alongside a gated synth and a superb vocal before coursing effortlessly back to the main groove. Excellent stuff and a definite must have.
Deuzler is up next for remix duty and transforms the original brilliantly. He is an admirer of electronic music who has been around for many years in the Mexican scene, nine years as DJ and three years as a producer. He recently made his Bonzai debut with the stunning Go Toward The Light. Here he sets the remix off with a punchy kick and tight percussion arrangement. A groovy analog bass pulsates through the sound as it hits the offset notes creating a bouncy groove. Cool arps weave in and out of the sound and sit perfectly with metallic styled FX. The Original Mix kicks us off as an already established groove finds its way into our brains. Big phat kicks will have those dancing feet moving in no time and the tight percussion patterns provide for steady rhythms throughout. Layers begin to form up with the addition of some cool sub basses that sit on top of a stomping, pulsing bassline. The break reveals a stunning atmospheric sequence filled with ethereal pads and break beats that give off a darker progressive vibe. Hints of melodies filter through as the track climaxes back into the main sound to continue this wonderful journey to its conclusion, epic stuff.
The Stripped Down Original Mix is a much more clubby affair with the focus bearing down on the drum patterns and percussion arrangements. We get some very cool FX that add contrasting textures to the bubbly bassline that sits perfectly underneath the sound. An acid type arp teases and you find yourself wanting it to burst out and take control. The break unleashes dark pads that hold intense vibes, break beats ensue and we soon get locked back into this hypnotic groove. Definitely a contender for many playlists, not to be missed.
Gai Barone is up next with his superb remix. Gai is a firm favourite here at Bonzai and we are always delighted to hear his works. Currently working with other artists as well as his own material we are sure to be seeing a lot more from this guy in the future. Pounding kicks and surreal atmospheres bring the remix to life. A deep droning bass note rises up and is joined by haunting voices as we settle into a deep progressive groove. Beautifully arranged note changes and the addition of some very cool classic styled arps bring in a euphoric feeling to the sound. The break conjures up a mystical scene as those calming voices are joined by swirling melodic pads and strings to the backdrop of that ever pulsing bass. A subtle climax gets us back into full swing on this epic ride, a must have track in your collection.

Cool FX litter the sound beautifully as the bass begins to become a real driving force. Hypnotic melodies form up out of the synths as the break offers up a medley of bass structures that lead us back into the main groove for the duration of this exquisite journey.
LoQuai turns up on remix duty with another of his stomping cuts. We haven’t seen LoQuai at Bonzai since his last escapade Flying Fortress alongside studio partner Shimmer. He has been busy though with top class releases across various labels, still one to watch for the future. The remix sets off into a world full of flowing progressive grooves that captivate beautifully. Cascading pads score cool melodies into your mind and keep you hooked into the sound. Wonderfully arranged drums will keep the feet dancing along with that deep and lush bass. A track that is not to be missed for sure.
