It’s been a while since we last saw Hungarian producer and composer Insect Society at Bonzai Basiks, the wait is over as we have the newest cut entitled Made In Sweden, which comes with a top notch remix. And Cleopatra Wept was his last outing which went down a treat and prompted a call up to remix duty for Van Czar’s Despote EP. Hopefully much more to come from this talented artist in the future.
E.F.G. aka Oleg Szyszkin and Neptun 505 aka Marcin Stepien join forces for the stunning Followed By Eye on Green Martian. Oleg got into the electronic sound in the late 90’s through listening to the likes of The Prodigy and Fatboy Slim. In 2005 he got into Trance and Tech Trance before finding Techno and groovy deep basses. His aim is to merge these two worlds and ultimately define his own E.F.G sound. This journey has taken him far and wide with slots on many radio stations including Insomnia FM, Proton Radio and Houseradio. A part of the Electronic Tree Crew, he has also worked on many other labels. Marcin is no stranger to the GM stable, his last outing, Zulu EP which showed off his tribal style and was very well received. He has worked extensively with many artists over the years including many times with Oleg, they even debuted together back in 2008 with Trainman Of Switzerland. An exciting duo with plenty to offer and we hope to see more from these guys soon.
Deep progressive duo metrONomes return to Progrez with the superb three tracker Domin.US. Their last outing came in the form of the wonderful Madam Butterfly which gained lots of attention. You can also catch the guys in action on Bonzai Basik Beats radioshow where they showcase their brand of progressive vibes with tight mixes. Always a pleasure to see these talented artists and we are sure to see much more in the months ahead.
SRUR stalwart Ozan Kanik delivers his next slice of pounding Techno with the superb Back Ally Rally. Last time around we got a dousing of bass driven Techno with Adults Only which was very well received. Aside from that there was a lot of activity on the remix front with a monster remix on Oz Romita’s revamped Idiots. Back Ally Rally comes packed to the hilt with no less than four top notch remixes as well as the original.
Today we say goodbye to a friend and a brilliant musician. Philippe Van Mullem aka Quadran came to us with his masterpiece Eternally in 1994 which was the seed that grew Bonzai Trance Progressive into a world renowned and much loved label. Even more than that, his music was at the forefront of a whole new era in electronic music when true progressive trance was born, a movement that is still very much alive today, getting stronger and stronger again. His passion for music was very much embedded in all of his productions and in all his guises such as Quadran, Honey C, Dobel You, Innertales and U.N.A. The musical mission he had taken is one that is still driving us today here at Bonzai Progressive and remained very much in evidence on his latest and unfortunately his last release Animals Rebellion, which was only just revealed last week and quickly became featured at the worldwide authority for electronic downloads: Beatport.
