This time we’ve decided to reignite and reintroduce some classic 90’s flavour to the scene with a joint venture from Mr Drew and Fragoso, who together have cooked up ‘Get Funky EP’; a zesty two track EP, featuring reworks of the Angel Moraes house classic, ‘Turn it Up’.

Beginning with Mr Drew’s interpretation on this revival, ‘Get Up’ mixes textured nu school beats with an old school bassline, culminating as the main groove and delivering a melodic pad at the break – delicious. Although, it is the vocals which really bring the theme to focus, echoing across the track and pushing through the overall floating, bassy mood – bringing back the old time vibes.

Fragoso’s addition to this release, ‘Funk Acido’, incorporates the vocals of ‘Turn it Up’ into an entirely new body. The bassline sees in this track with a smooth and steady swing. As the theme increasingly sets in, it seems to climb further towards a heating groove, only heightened by the certain rush supplied by the response of the drums and resulting in the final monster which will have you moving to outrageous effect by its completion.

This EP can be summarised in as few words as, two bombs just begging for flame.
