Moll returns to Basiks with his latest offering, At The Dawn EP. Moll always delivers and his last outing Tech-On proved a favourite among many. This time around we are treated to three deep tech cuts that will burn up floors all over no doubt.
First up we have the title track At The Dawn with haunting intro that soon turns into a full on driving deep tech ride with punchy kicks, smooth percussions and a cool deep throbbing bass. Whispered vocals add a sinister element as those haunting pads sweep through the sound. A real proper dark themed sound with a pumping groove that will turn a few heads for sure.
Premonition sets off with cool percussion patterns and a muted kick, a deep growling bass bubbles up from the depths and soon takes control of the sound. A strong and rhythmic experience ensues a darker themes are introduced. Well crafted FX are perfectly placed within the sound for maximum effect and we are led into a world of deep techno vibes. Top notch yet again from Moll and not to be missed.
Anonymous takes a minimal approach as classic styled kicks and hats provide a steady rhythm to the backdrop of rising and falling FX. Cool vocal samples pop up and add a gritty texture to the sound as the bassline sits back in just the right spot with its throbbing power. Smooth minimal vibe that will be a main feature in sets for sure.
