Minitech Project aka Faroukh Hasham has been a stalwart within the many changes seen at Bonzai Towers over the last few years. He has been at the forefront of Bonzai Basiks with his signature techno and tech house sounds with a host of remixes under his belt also. Born in England and spending most of his childhood between the USA and India, Faroukh has been able to draw influence in that diversity and is continuing to evolve his sound at every turn. Now firmly rooted (but never exclusive to) in the more minimal and tech side of the house we see another fine example of his talent.
“Sexy Dark Drms” kicks off with a bouncy 4/4 minimal type groove, crisp sharp hats are in contrast with a low end bass that is relentless as it throbs and pounds the speakers. Some real cool FX work pops up on the break before taking us right back into the midst of a strong techno vibe.
“Work This” keeps up the bouncy rhythm with another tightly woven arrangement. Again, the bass keeps on pounding with the drums doing a fine job. Lots more FX going on that adds an extra layer to an already brilliant vibe, a must for the boxes.
