The ever impressive and always on target Manu Riga is back with Shadow Of Life. Manu remains a firm favourite at Bonzai and has done for the last few years. A highly reliable remix artist when called upon and consistent in his quality delivery. This new effort just proves yet again the skills on offer and comes backed up with four superb remixes. Settle in for deep charged progressive vibes you will not want to miss.

The Original Mix sets us off into this hugely anticipated journey into prog as punchy kicks are met with crisp offset hats. The basses begin to form up in layers with an arp bass showing first getting the groove moving beautifully. Deep droning basses soon make their way in making for the perfect platform for the subtle ethically charge undertones. Contrasting melodies float throughout the sound with cool synth arps and distinctively ethnic voices. The break delves into this world beautifully before we are thrust back to the main sound and onward with our ride into deep prog, just brilliant.

Nico Parisi is up first on the remix with his In Search Of The Morning Remix. The title of his remix is taken from his monthly Podcast of the same name where Nico showcases top tracks in the mix. Recently we have seen his own latest works Napoli By Night get a release support coming through thick and fast. Here the intro goes right for the jugular as tight punchy kicks are joined by pulsating deep bass. Percussions begin to show building up a cool rhythmic vibe as sweeping pads wash over the sound beautifully creating dreamy melodic flavours. The break offers some cool percussive sounds laden with effects alongside distant voices and takes us back into the main groove for the duration. An epic deep progressive slice from Nico as you would expect, not to be missed.

Ben Solar is up to the remix desk next with his effort. Ben is fresh from a superb remix on Steve Sai’s Stardust which came soon after his debut Big & Small EP. Here he takes us on a winding journey deep into progressive bedrock. The intro boasts a round of smooth percussions that are soon joined by a cool kick with a myriad of FX adding very cool textures to the sound. A deep bass plunders through the sound beautifully sitting back just enough to allow the higher frequencies to shine. A very percussion heavy ride ensues in this super tight arrangement with classic stabs popping up throughout. Subtle yet driving deep progressive house that would be a welcome cut in any set.

Italian DJ and producer Mark Found delivers a fresh sounding remix filled with all the goodness of true progressive house. Mark recently debuted with Sagittarius on BP and with his Duluth moniker on Green Martian, with both tracks getting much support from all over. The remix here intros with a nice and chunky kick and a tightly arranged percussion section. A brilliantly crafted synth arp builds us up to a powerful driving bass that sits perfectly in the sound. The arps and additional synth work produce cool melodies that captivate for the duration. The break reveals a beautifully crafted sequence that will allow your mind to drift before getting pushed right back into the main groove. A top notch remix from Mark and a must have track for sure.

Phil Taylor aka Philthy Chit returns to remix duty after his very well received remix on Nico Parisi and Gai Barone’s Perla as well as his own Confabulate back in July this year. The intro gives off a monster kick that punches you right in the chest as it pounds out its groove. A cool, deep bass oozes progressive flavour as ethic voices sweep across the sound drawing you into their lull. An infectious arp sequence brings a subtle enthralling melody which dominates the break wonderfully. After the break the track settles in for an epic ride with many fantastic soundscapes along the way. A truly thought inducing piece that will keep dragging you back for more, superb stuff.
