Nicolas Luquet aka Luke Kay is a graphic designer, sound designer, sound engineer, and film composer. After he developed his technical skills and knowledge in a “do it yourself” philosophy, he founded the electronic music band Give Me A Kiss which was appreciated for their gigs as they always synchronized with videos.

They became famous on the internet after winning the Remix Popular Computer Contest organized by the record labels Rise and Kitsune. Luke has also worked on a few French movie scores and today he makes his Elemental and debut along with a little help from the talents of Aurelia Mengin with his “Chromatic EP”. This EP was inspired by Luke’s recent stay on a remote island.

“Ekei Memona” is a trippy kaleidoscope of sound design with a very sensual vocal over a gritty and grungy drum arrangement, the heavily filtered synths add an extra layer to this already enthralling vibe, top stuff.

“Memento” is in total contrast to the previous track with a toy box melody and a subtly innocent vocal, very uplifting and euphoric feeling also, especially with the beats and a cool rolling bassline giving that feel-good-factor.

Lastly we have “Rush” which takes us back to the gritty organic type vibe, very raw melodies are matched perfectly with the breaks and the vocal samples, a huge in your face bass will for sure get the ass shakin!
