Kevin Vega returns to Bonzai Progressive with yet another superb slice of progressive in the form of Geisha which features two tracks and a sublime remix from Jakhira. Kevin Vega remains a stalwart around the Bonzai office, he has graced various labels over the years and always delivers on the quality front. He recently featured on the fantastic Bonzai & Friends 500 Remixes compilation as well as many other compilations over the years. Always a pleasure to have Kevin’s work drop into the inbox and no doubt we’ll see much more in the future.

Geisha intros with a pure progressive vibe that builds beautifully into a mesmerizing and tantalising musical wonderland complete with a plethora of rich sounds. From the tight drum arrangements to the warm, lush basses and cascading arps, this one goes deep creating a wonderful layered sound that will move you. The groove just rocks and we’ve no doubt that this one will grab a lot of attention.

The Original Mix of Elysium is up next and straight away we get locked onto the hypnotic groove this one offers. The intro subtly builds a solid progressive flowing track that lulls you in with its warmth and enticing rhythms. The track layers up sound after sound effortlessly until we’re surrounded in a colourful musical kaleidoscope. The break throws up some cool melodies and voices that soothe the soul, while a gated synth begins its mesmerizing trek into our minds. A definite must have expertly crafted track here that is not to be missed.

Jakhira steps up to remix duties with his superb Secret Sanctuary Remix. It’s been a while since we last saw Jack, it was back in September 2015 when he gave us the brilliant Be As One, which gained support across the board. When it comes to quality sounds this guy knows no bounds and we’re delighted to see him back once more. The remix intros with a smooth percussion led arrangement before a nice chunky kick drum comes through and takes over. Bright crispy hi hats are stacked up against the percussions to deliver a fine flowing rhythm. A deep, warm bassline comes into play and sets the track on its deep progressive course. Beautifully crafted melodies swirl overhead amidst an array of rich pads and subtle synth stabs. The break goes into a fantastically constructed melodic sequence that lets you dream away before those chunky beats return for the duration. Top notch stuff perfect for any terrace set this summer.
