This month issue of Mixmag features a cd mixed by Hot Since 82, featuring two tracks from Joal, I See Why And Looking Down!

The Little Black Book album was only the beginning. From Cozzy D and Eric Volta to KiNK and Outstrip, Daley Padley, aka Hot Since 82, enters the house on his first-ever Mixmag cover CD. And what a mix it is! Veering from soul-flecked tech to masterful deep, Daley knows exactly what he’s doing. If you loved his mix of ‘Bigger Than Prince’, prepare to jump around like the purple one all over again.

1º Cozzy D & Eric Volta ‘The Gift’
“Pure summer vibes on this one – it’s been around a while, but slipped under the radar. One for this summer for me”

2º Santé & Frank Lorber ‘All About’
“Love Santé and love this collab with Frank. I always hammer this. Total roller”

3º Joal ‘I See Why’
“I don’t know too much about Joal except that he’s a main player in Portugal and throws down some serious tracks. Love this”

4º Philip Bader ‘More’
“Bader is on fire at the moment and so is Viva. Organ jam!”

5º J. Diesel ‘Outside In A Box’ (Olivier Giacomotto remix)
“This is heavy! Ace mixdown and mastering, and always gets the floor moving. Heavy stuff”

6º Darlyn Vlys ‘Floor 122’ (Santé & Sidney Charles remix)
“Moody and deep”

7º Martin Buttrich & Mousse T ‘Smack Back’
“Unusual collaboration here, but they’re usually the best ones and that’s the case here. What do you expect with Buttrich on the dials?”

8 ºHot Since 82 ‘Don’t Touch The Alarm’
“My new single out soon on my new label, Knee Deep In Sound. I’m really happy with it. There’s a heavy as hell Booka Shade remix to go with it, too”

9º Joal ‘Looking Down’
“Another Joal record that l couldn’t leave. One of my favourites from the last twelve months. Total jam”

10º Matthias Meyer ‘Tout Va Bien’ (KiNK remix)
“Another classic. I’m a massive Meyer fan, and KiNK really turned it out here. It’s all about the hats”

11º Fonos ‘She’s Back Again’ (Thodoris Triantafillou & CJ Jeff remix)
“The Athens crew on this record. As the title says, she’s back again: a nod to an all time classic”

12º Outstrip ‘Home Thursday’
“This is an amazing tune that l often play at the end of the night. Ace production and such a happy, feel-good record”
