Italian DJ and producer Luigi De Santis aka GgDeX debuts on Piston with his two tracker ‘Put The Needle’. Luigi started out in 2001 when he began mixing his LP collection which soon got him a good reputation as he was asked to perform at various parties. His sets take on various guises while always focusing on rhythms and nuances, he likes to get into the deeper and tech side of House. In 2007 he got his first release on Fahrenheit Music with help from his close friend Mario Piu. Many more releases followed across multiple labels with much more to come for sure.

First up is ‘Put The Needle’ which intros with cool and crisp hats with a short vocal sample coming through. Big and chunky kicks set the track off brilliantly before a big and brash bass takes over. The sound takes on a true deep tech vibe as the bass works its magic alongside some very smooth chords and plucky riffs. On the break the chords get an overhaul as they weave out a groovy hook before the track slams right back into the main track. Top stuff out of Italy and not to be missed.

‘Blue Garage’ is up next with a nice and crispy intro as percussions build up a flowing rhythm with the help of a phat kick. A superb deep pulsating bass takes over the sound and lies in perfect harmony with the drum section. Groovy vocal samples add cool textures to the sound as a funky synth teases on the outskirts. Full on deep tech vibes here and a definite must for those bouncier floors!
