Manu Riga and Nico Parisi have been busy together in the studio with “Reborn” which is their first collab and comes backed up with some top end remixes. Manu Riga has an impressive list of releases, more recently with “The Darkness Within” and “Everything Comes To An End” both of which saw lots of support. and he is currently working on an artist album with some very nice surprises lined up. Nico is currently DJing at many of Belgium’s top events and has secured a spot on the Bonzai stage at this year’s (2013) Tomorrowland festival. He is also very busy in the studio with future collabs and other projects.

The original mix intros with a rich vocal and cool pads, a strong thumpy kick comes in with crispy clear hats backed up with some nice sweeping FX. The tune settles in to sweet prog vibe with a quality arp taking centre stage and a subtle bassline adding depth. On the break a dark vibe appears with a myriad of sounds blending perfectly alongside the vocal before racing back to pure progressive utopia. Top stuff from this duo and clearly a collab with a lot of spark!

Australian producer Audio Noir steps up to remix duties with a superb offering in his Renaissance Remix. Lots of arps form the backbone here with a filtered synth ebbing and flowing beautifully. A solid groove from the off with an almost bouncy rhythm emanating from the tight drum and perc arrangement . The track takes on a new identity at the first drop with a stunning bassline taking the main focus. Lush pads fill up the break with a surprising twist leading up to the kick back, awesome stuff!

The hugely respected Italian producer Gai Barone is up next with his Tubecore Remix. Gai has been around the scene since the hey days of Italo House and quickly became a popular name on the DJ circuit. 1995 he started to get into production music experimentation, his first release would come much later entitled “Solegirasoli” on Ultimate House Records then “Moving” on Mesmerized. Now very much in demand we can only expect bigger and better from this guy. His remix here stands up tall in the progressive world, he utilises the originals elements brilliantly. The track begins with a gritty edged kick with a cool synth hook filtering through, this builds and builds hypnotising the mind. The track takes off with a bassline that provides sheer depth of sound with some vocal samples fitting perfectly. Real progressive grooves that will be a feature for many sets.

UK based producer Anthony Yarranton is our next remixer. Anthony has gained a lot of attention in a short space of time, he has been described as deep and impactful by his peers and his brand of deep, melodic progressive house has seen releases on labels like Armada, Proton, Baroque and Lowbit. Here, his remix starts off with subtle hats and pads with the vocal sweeping by. Nice chunky kicks and superb bassline soon follow with lots of warm, lush pad work. The break takes us deeper with very subtle melodies teasing along with the richness of the vocal samples. Top quality from the UK here and a definite must for any DJ box!

Venezuelan born DJ and producer Alfredo Mena debuts on BB with this stunning two tracker entitled “Retrospective EP”. Alfredo began his DJ career when he was just 15 years old with his mobile disco around the Caracas area and he quickly became one of the most popular DJ’s around. His travels have taken him to New York and Chicago where he has played alongside the like of Tiesto, Dubfire and Mauro Piccotto. He has also released on the top labels such as Baroque and Viva Music with lots more to come.

First up we have “Pervert”, a real smooth slice of techno filled with a vast array of FX and percussions. The groove is solid and the arrangement gives off a steady rhythm, a very subtle deep bass binds this track together while on the short break we get a cool vocal sample. The FX and percussions play a massive role here and they work so well.

“In The Suburbs” is up next, another fine techno cut with a slight tribal element given off by the distant sounding drums. This track builds brilliantly with Alfredo showing off his skills on the FX and heavily used percussions. Much more upbeat vibe here as the track gathers pace with a little help from some erotic vocal samples. This is one top notch track that will gain a lot of attention for sure.

Ladies and gentlemen we proudly present a new member to our family! Alan Castro was born in 1987 in the city of Carhue, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1996, with only 9 years old, he started to experiment a new musical directions. It was called House and Detroit Techno! Such as massive style in a global level, that was slowly being incorporated into the music culture of the country. Kindred Spirits debut on Green Martian with this stunning two tracker “Smooth Tricks EP”.

The title track, “Smooth Tricks” gets us on the move with a nice melodic intro, the drum arrangement soon follows and builds to the bassline which really sets this tune on fire. The bassline brings the progressive nature of this track to the fore with a wonderful array of melodies adding contrast. The break is a climactic setting filled with superb pads creating a surreal atmosphere before settling in to a super sweet melodic sequence. Very fresh sound here that is going to be an asset in any DJ box!

“Interlacing Textures” sticks with the prog house groove, lots of percussions combine very well and the kicks will have any ass shaking in no time. A very organic synth grabs your attention early on with a very nice melody adding a whole new texture. This track continues to build and build with high pitched gated strings bringing in a trance element, another very welcomed fresh sound here, one to watch.

Swing City, the name itself says everything about them. Swing, groove and extra depth in the way they reach your soul! Swinging since 2011 as a collective Ricardo Oliveira and his brother Fabio Oliveira, merged their expertise, Ricardo as a dj and Fabio as a producer, resulting in a fusion between real-time performance and creation, the definition for it is “Jamming in the Floor”.

Zolex aka Frank Struyf returns to Bonzai with “Assault” and is backed up with a slew of quality remixes. The vocals come courtesy of Nikkie aka Jade 4 U who had great success with many projects notably Praga Khan. Frank gained notoriety with his Zolex project back in the nineties under Bonzai Records and through his many residencies in Belgium’s top clubs. He went on to create his own Zolex Records with many successful releases. Frank is still very much in demand for his DJ skills and now also for his production skills, we are sure to see a lot more from this man.

The original mix intros with a very ethnic guitar theme before the very unique vocal comes through. Super solid drum arrangements build up a steady rhythm and the track takes on an almost Indie rock vibe which breaks down into a strong progressive groove. The kick and percussion section drive through with Nikkie’s vocal becoming much more powerful and raw. What a great comeback from Frank, sure to be a big hit with jocks everywhere.

Danish producer Soren Aalberg is first up to remix duties. Soren has seen releases on Bedrock Records, Mindtrip Music and more, his sounds have been played by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Len Faki. Here Soren takes the track to its basics with a minimal approach, much deeper vibe on the bass and chunky kicks and brilliantly crafted percussion. A sinister sounding string fades through while Nikkie’s vocal is used to perfection to round of a top class remix.

Soren also provides us with his Add Lips remix which takes on a clubby vibe, cool, crisp and sharp hats are prominent and the kicks add a nice thump. Deep basses are accompanied by an intense fading in string that builds the track up to a climax superbly, big big tune for the floors!

Guss Carver is up next with his remix. Guss has been producing since the nineties and seen many releases across a host of quality labels. He produces many different genres as he loves all dance music and he has his own label called Hypnocat. Guss’s remix entrees with a nice solid kick, hat, snare combi over a deep droning bassline. On the break a rising synth thunders into a stunning hook while the vocal is perfectly slotted in at all the right places, just brilliant.

Belgian DJ and production duo Jean Delaru & DJ Philip swing by with their Dubbel XX remix. Both these guys hold residencies at some of Belgiums top rated clubs. Jean has seen releases on a few labels while DJ Philip would be considered a veteran on the scene with releases as far back as 1997 on labels like XTC – Music For The Mind, Tripomatic and Black Hole Recordings. The remix intros with subtle percs which soon build up to a pumping groove. As the track progresses the sweeping bassline adds depth with the reverbed vocal adding extra weight. On the break a real cool melody pans out before we get right back to that powerful bassline and tough groove.

Heading deeper into prog with Nocturno and his remix. Superb bass’s intro this track with FX work helping to build up the sound to an all out progressive monster. The kick and bass combi forms most of the track and keeps the deep vibe flowing throughout. On the break a simple melody transforms the setting and the bassline morphs into a hypnotic groove with Nikkie’s vocal holding everything in place, seriously tough tune that will be on many lists for sure.

Finally we have a short version of the original mix which would be perfect for a radio slot.

German born Gerardo Cinquegrana aka Tali Freaks returns fresh from his very well received album “Glasgow Atmosphere”. “Let Me Be Into House” comes in a small package of two remixes but packs a huge punch!

First up we have the “Back To Old School Mix”, nice, cool and steady flowing rhythm with lots of house flavours. A thumping kick intros with the percussion following soon after, some very nice arrangements are evident and this really ramps up the vibe. The bassline has a very deep tone and this works perfectly with the housey organs and synths. Cut up vocals with brilliant FX show up on the break alongside a cool pad and some classic keys. Superb flowing deep tech here that would be perfect in any set.

The “Who Cares What School Mix” takes its cue from the previous mix with a different arrangement, the cool sounds from before are very much in effect with a little more focus on the synth work. Something different to work with on the intros, great stuff.

Hungarian born producer and composer Insect Society debuts on Basiks with this stunning three track EP entitled “Really Insane. Insect society has been addicted to music since the early nineties and he took to composing in the 2000′s. He started off using computer software with VST’s for his productions but quickly moved over to hardware to get that much richer sound. Very exciting times ahead with this guy as his talents begin to shine.

First up is “16 Hours”, high octane driven tech with that raw analogue sound you get from hardware. Strong chunky kick and a sub bass provide the intro with cool sweeping buzz effects and the percussions gradually building the rhythm. The bass goes through many transformations with some quality filtering, the synths are contrasted with warm lush stabs to tough and gritty arps, very well constructed track!

“Really Insane” intros with a monster kick and bass combi overlayed with a host of FX. This guy really shows how to get the best out of his synths with a multi layered sequence of true electronic sounds. This track continues to build and culminates with a simply amazing acid type lead that seems to go on and on. Solid grooving track that will have any bass bin pushed to the limit, epic stuff.

“Stunned Brain” finishes this EP with a much darker edged track. Another solid groove with acid lines, sweeping chunky basses and eerie pads all rolled into one full on techno experience. The rhythms are expertly crafted with crisp hats and percussions held together by a strong kick. A serious contender for the pure techno jocks cases!

Debuting on Progrez we have Cristian Perera Moray aka Moray. Cristian started off producing Hip Hop back when he was a teenager and in 2010 he began to move into the EDM arena. He is learning the tricks of his trade the hard way by self learning the very complex process of music production. This release, entitled “Feel Better EP” is a reflection of that process and is a very impressive example of how far he has come.

“Between The Walls” intros with a mixture of percs, FX and bass, a perfect combination which builds and builds into a powerful groove. Very subtle sound lulls you into a false sense of security when the full potential of the track is unleashed with stunning synth work and expert arrangement, top notch stuff.

“Have A Nice Day” takes us on a wonderful journey through warm lush basses and deep fuelled vibes. Throbbing kicks are matched with a chunky synth and a myriad of percussive sounds give a real solid feel to the groove. On the break gritty synths and strings hypnotise while a simple vocal sample adds an extra layer, a real solid bit of work here and a must for any playlist.

M.R.T.N are made of Sthlm Beat and Pomp. The guys produce together and have released under other guises including The Bunglers for SRUR. Sthlm Beat also performs as DJ M.R.T.N. and today we see this stunning techno fuelled monster “Desnoid EP” get a release.

First up is the tough edged “Abdominal” which gets right down to business from the off with a rolling techno groove. Tough kicks are layered with some outstanding percussions and a sharp, crisp hat. The track takes on an almost oldschool techno flavour with the percussions rising in pitch creating a hypnotic vibe, top notch stuff.

“Desnoid” takes a slightly more minimal approach, again we see a superb arrangement and a very rhythmic drum section. The synths have that retro style sound we all love and the guys have brought this sound up to date brilliantly. On the break the FX work is expertly crafted and creates a cool climax back into the track, definitely a tune that will feature heavily in techno sets.

“Panzerfaust” is a tune that makes you realise what techno nowadays is all about. Thumping kicks and a deep bassline are the perfect platform for the groove mapped out by the brilliant synth work. Lots of percussive elements with cymbals and hats coming through perfectly and FX that will blow your mind, one to watch for sure!

Brazilian DJ and producer Mathie DeLois makes his Green Martian debut with this solid prog groover “Warning EP”. Mathie is a very experienced DJ and has played at big parties all over Brazil, he began producing in 2004 and since then he has gained a lot of respect and also appeared on Fiber Online website having won a best producer award. With releases on many other labels and more projects in the works we are excited to see what this guy has to offer.

The original mix of “The Last Word” is a stunning slice of prog that could easily lean into a more subtle trance set. Strong and solid groove from the off with a very nice thick and chunky kick accompanied by crisp sharp hats. The warm basses sit perfectly with plucked synths and pulsating pads while on the break you get lost in the gritty textured melody, superb stuff.

The Version remix is a much more clubby affair with more of the same lushness on the strings and bass. Very well arranged percussions give off a cool rhythm and on the break the melody creates a beautiful and dreamy vibe. Definitely one for the trance boxes and sure to be on a lot of playlists.

Swiss based ambient, downtempo and chillout artists Vechigen return to Elemental with another stunning slice of blissed out vibes with “Sweet Dreams”.

The title track is a beautifully warm melodic piece, lush pads and a myriad of FX combine over a laidback drum arrangement resulting in a full on chill down experience. Definitely a track for a relaxing evening at sunset.

“No Comply” takes chillout to a whole new dimension, the vibe created is one of ecstasy as your mind is sucked into the sweet pads. Minimal use of drums keeps the ambient flow while some trippy plucks provide cool melodies, top stuff.

Rise And Fall debut on Bonzai Progressive with the stunning “Imagination” which comes packed with an awesome remix from Manu Riga.

The original mix is a true prog house affair with all the right ingredients for dancefloors to come alight. Very strong bassline dominates the arrangement with a fantastic thud on the kicks. Huge sweeping pads make an appearance which keeps the ears trained. Real deep prog vibe oozes from this and the relentless groove will have this appear on a lot of playlists.

The highly impressive Manu Riga takes control at the desk for his Prog Remix. Adriaan is a very busy man as he is completing many remixes and lots of his own studio work which is to be announced very soon. Here, he utilises his many skills to deliver an outstanding remix. Strong, solid vibe from the start as the basses build up and combine beautifully with the kicks and percussions. Ethnic flavours come through, while on the break the synths deliver an awesome arp with a beautiful whispered vocal. The track kicks back with style after the break and we settle into this amazing ride, top stuff.

Lucio is back once again with the superb three track “Templum EP”. This guy has been very busy as of late with remixes and productions becoming much more regular, and still each one is filled with the quality you’d expect, enjoy!

Kicking us off is the title track “Templum”. The intro on this will blow your mind, deep throbbing pads with some amazing rhythmic percussions will have you locked in solid, and before you know it the track lifts off into a solid deep techno outing. The subtle kick is a stark contrast to the totally amazing synth arp that truly takes over your senses, be prepared, this will blow your mind!

“Gold Tree” comes at you with a solid intro that builds to a cool deep bass and kick with the percs providing strong rhythms. The techno begins to pour from this track as the pads rise along with a very cool sweeping synth. Big sound here that will perform well during those late night expeditions.

“Merkabah” rounds up this awesome EP in style. Lucio again takes us into the depths of tech in the most simplest yet highly effective fashion. Understated kicks and hats are the perfect companion to the bassline with more well crafted vocal sample manipulation. As the track progresses we hear lots of different FX come through with an ebb and flow on the tempo which works so very well, top stuff yet again.

GmT aka Gamut debuts on Green Martian with a stunning three track EP entitled “Vices & Transgressions”. Slovenian born Gamut is the product of a very musical family having taken to this art from an early age with a venture in drums and percussion instruments. His teenage years were spent performing with bands and in 2000 he entered into the world of EDM with his first listen to a progressive CD. It wasn’t too long after that he started to DJ and ultimately produce his own sounds, many releases followed on many labels and here we see this diverse talent shine with more already lined up for the future.

First up we have “Sway Shades”, a real nice progressive house stomper that intros with a cool percussion and a monster kick. The bassline powers through with some deep synth vibes pulsating the rhythm. Gamut’s early drum experiences are very evident with an expertly arranged drum section. Funky grooves build up through some cool stabs, a fantastic guitar riff and brilliant vocal samples with an added crowd cheering effect that has a huge impact. Very retro feel on this that is gonna be huge on the club floors!

“Sex On Substance” goes a little deeper into the prog house vibe. The track intros with an array of quality FX and subtle pads before a stunning bassline and kick combi powers the rhythm on. Again we see Gamut expel his amazing drum arrangement skills filled with many different percussion instruments. This groove settles in nicely with the synth work standing out. Erotic vocal samples are accompanied by a fantastic saxophone riff and on the break the groove ramps up a notch. This is a seriously strong track that will be on a lot of playlists for sure.

“Hedonizer” takes us on a much brighter more energetic journey with a strong solid, melodic groove. Very well crafted patterns with the drums taking centre stage and shored up brilliantly with a hypnotic bassline. The break brings the melodies to the fore with fantastic sequences and feel good pads. Another powerful example of quality production.

Simone Girau is back, this time with a completely groundbreaking and outrageously funky hip-house track with electro influences, “Repeat” is the name and after you listen it you will understand why it’s called that way. “Repeat” makes you wanna listen to it in repeat without hesitation, but Simone wasn’t happy enough with this fact and teamed up with her brother Dario to bring us a monster dark house track that reminds us of the 90s New York house scene. Filled with reverberated soul vocals which automatically make you feel like you’re in the old high times. You can’t miss this!

Shimmer is back after his outing with LoQuai and their “Flying Fortress” track, a track that gained a lot of attention on major download portals with support from around the world. Here we see a monster release “Give Me” with a host of top quality remixes from some great producers.

The original mix is smooth ride through progressive house creating a relaxed atmosphere. Steady rhythms from the drums and percs with some real nice FX work. Bright melodic short synths build the mood with a wonderful chunky bassline underneath. Very hypnotic groove that locks you in for the duration.

First up on the remix is Chantola with his Give Me Techno Remix. Henrik transforms this tune beautifully with some quality techno elements, particularly in the kicks. Grungy acid blips formulate a great sound which becomes much more prominent on the break. Very well worked mix with huge appeal for many jocks.

Mylan takes us on one of his tech tours with his remix. Classic intro with kicks, hats and percussions building layer by layer. Groovy bassline adds a little bounce here and the FX work fits well. This track is a solid builder with teasing synths coming through on the break, top stuff.

Accatone takes things deeper with his Black Keys Remix. Staying true to the bassline as it bounces along we are treated to a masterclass indeed. Minimal percussions with a crisp hat and clap combi. The big focus of course are those keys, a wonderful display of deep house play that will stand up well in those late night rooms.

Concealed Truth return to BP with Cold Sun Ray Remix. Powerful progressive house at its finest with brilliantly subtle synth melodies and great FX. Nice and steady rhythm with another superb bassline will keep the bootys shakin to this. On the break the melodies are ramped up a notch and the vocal sample is the perfect addition along with the pads, very nice indeed.

Belgian deep tech and house stalwart Van returns with “Lassitude Active EP” after his much loved “Tout Much EP”. Van has a very busy schedule these days with more EP’s in the works and gigs around the Madrid area coming thick and fast. He is also about to begin his radioshow on Vicious Radio with a showcase on the best from Bonzai’s labels past, present and future. This EP is backed up with a couple of outstanding remixes.
On the original Van does what he does best, ramp up the energy! Strong deep tech grooves with his trademark quality FX work on vocal samples shining through. Nice steady rhythms on the arrangement with a subtle yet very effective bass shoring up the lower end. Very energetic vibe is generated here, this one is destined for a lot of playlists for sure.

German DJ and producer Marc Zimmerman provides a stunning remix. Marc began music playing trumpet and piano when he was younger, now he co-owns a record label, gigs all over Germany and has a raft of releases under his belt. This remix gets right down to business from the off, straight in your face acid grooves with a great vocal sample coming through. Strong, solid drum and percussions are the perfect companion for the acid bassline that dominates throughout, top stuff.

Spanish DJ and producer Natalia Martinez aka Narol MarGo is next up for the remix with an deep tech house offering. Natalia is a product of the underground Madrid club scene with tech house and deep house being her main preferences. She also hosts shows on Vicious Radio and gigs all around Madrid. The track intros with classic kick and hat combi, even with this the you can feel the energy rise, a deep bass come is soon after with some very cool vocal FX work. Expertly crafted rhythms will have any floor shaking, on the break a huge controlled wall of sound creates a massive build up before the groove kicks back in for a fantastic ride through tech, awesome stuff!

Belgian producer R Varez aka RV turns out a progressive tech working for Progrez with his track “Disorder” which is backed up with two stunning remixes. RV’s last outing came in the form of “Mamba” on Eyepatch which was very well recieved. Something a little different here and a difference that will not disappoint.

The original mix is a pure mind bender of a track, the vibe on this will have you hooked in for the duration against your will. Awesome sublime FX work on the vocals set the track up well with the synth work add extra weight. Superb groove with strong drum and percussion arrangement and rounded off with a wonderful deep bass. Serious stuff here and those vocals are really top notch.

The Revolving Junkie aka UK based producer Phil Kieran steps up to remix duty with a simply stunning effort. Nice flowing rhythms in the lush kicks and crispy hats, an almost acid bassline adds strength to this and gives a minimal feeling. On the first break some very clever FX work shines through on the synths with a brilliant shift in the beats with some shuffling. Very well constructed remix with a couple of amazing surprises!
