Darouge returns to BB with the wonderful three tracker ‘Bite The Curb’. His last outing ‘Displacement EP’ proved popular among many and no doubt this latest offering will be met with more of the same.
First up we have the title track ‘Bite The Curb’ which intros with a nice chunky kick and is joined by a round of classic electro percussions which give the track a very cool groove. A deep bass lurks behind and teases with its presence. Some real nice sounds have filtered through and give this track a clear defining course. The break offers up some very cool sounds, almost alien in nature and gives the track an awesome texture. A very well constructed track and sure to get much attention.
‘Dudebrochill’ is next and intros with a solid kick and hat combination. A deep pulsating bass soon joins the party and is the perfect partner to those classic kicks. The rhythms are built upon beautifully with an evolving percussion line. Surreal synth work is brought in and we are on course for a fantastic tech workout. Awesome stuff and a definite one to watch.
Lastly we have ‘Pumper’, which, as the name suggests is a pumper! Right from the off we are led into a solid tech groove with thumping kicks and crispy percussions. Throughout the sound we are met with a hypnotic synth that locks us in for the duration. A bubbling bassline drives the track forward as some fantastic FX work goes on all around. Quite an epic slice here which would definitely be an asset for any playlist!
