Italian born DJ and producer Carlo Caldareri debuts on Piston with a superb three track EP entitled “Do It Again”. Since he was young he always cultivated a passion for music, he spent the first years of his career looking into different genres of music. Soon he focused in on house music and his DJ sets began to take on house and deep house grooves. Carlo has worked with top artists and his tracks have appeared on many labels including Digital Traffik, Microtech Records and Mono Recordings to name just a few.

“Do It Again” sets off with a cool percussion led intro with the chunky kicks soon following. A strong bassline sets the tune alight as we delve into the depths of house. On the break an urban theme develops with sirens and street ambience before sliding back into the groove with a funky bass and some fantastic vocal samples, superb stuff!

“Too Much Yeah” provides a solid intro with a nice thumping kick and percussion combi. Very cool flowing rhythms are built upon and the bassline comes in brilliantly with a deep grooving vibe. Great use of FX fill up the spectrum and vocal samples bring the funk as they fade through. This is a non-stop relentless ride through the groovier, funkier side of deep house and we love it!

“Got This Feeling” goes right into full on party mode with a classic styled kick and hat intro that builds into a solid, steady rhythm. Deep resonating basses creep up and well worked vocal samples add character with a classic vocal sample thrown in for the retro fans. Tight production here with huge club appeal, and one that will be a feature in many sets.
